Back in August my mache flipped out as I was backing down the driveway. It applied the brakes suddenly and I lost all safety functionality in the car. Everything. Including antilock brakes and airbags. Cruise control. All cameras. Everything. I limped to the dealership and it turned out the main cable harness fell onto one of my axles and it parted multiple wires as I was backing down the drive. I mean, what would have happened if I was on the highway. They did a temporary repair and ordered a part. Anyway, it took them until this past week to get a new harness and replace it, which took two days.
Anyone else have this issue?

Subscribed. Crazy that a wiring harness would be located in a place where this could even happen.

Do us ALL a favor and don’t just move on with your life after this is fixed. Follow up with Ford, NHTSA, whoever.

These are the kind of events that create recalls…….and save lives.

I don’t even know how this could be possible? There would have to be some underneath insulation missing right?

No useful information or part numbers here (did you blur out the part number?). Still have no idea what wire harness it was.
It’s all I got. It says rear wire harness.

That looks like the paperwork for the initial temporary repair, what did they give you for the final one? If nothing, please ask for copies from your dealer and follow up with Ford.

This could be a major safety issue for us all.

Hi there, I'd be happy to look into your Mach-E concerns on my end. Will you send us a message with your VIN and dealership info? I can look into things on my end.
