Is anyone else noticing that some of the alert sounds are a bit different with these 6.x.0 releases?

My first 6.2.0 failed (incomplete) and now I can't change my drive mode. Frunk, trunk, and other UI buttons are also missing. Maybe @Ford Motor Company can push the re-release to me sooner than later.
6.2.0 moves some UI controls around. The missing buttons may moved. The frunk & trunk are now on the screen you see as soon as you go into Settings (same screen where you can pick the drive mode). There's a graphic of the car ... the buttons are in the upper right corner of that image/graphic -- and with the background being dark, they are easy to miss.

Also, my first several attempts to do 6.2.0 also failed (Incomplete). Ultimately I discovered my 12v battery was at a 75% charge. I put it on a charger (a real charger ... not a trickle charger/maintainer) and left it overnight. The next day it successfully installed.

I do wish the car would more aggressively maintain the 12v battery power. It waits until the voltage is low enough to decide to charge it ... rather than just topping it off every time you drive or charge. Updates wont apply if the 12v is low. It wants to make sure it has a nice safe margin of batttery power to complete the update.

23 Premium and I’m still at 5.1.1. Should I be concerned?
I'm never _quite_ sure when an update is only going to cars in Early Access vs. other cars. But I have seen posts that the 6.x series started to roll to cars that are not in EAP. The car that got the update is in EAP.k

However ... as I recall from when I got 5.1.1, the vehicle connectivity got turned off and I had to turn it back on. I'm not sitting in my car to refresh my memory on how you navigate to that menu, but I think it was Settings -> Connectivity -> Connected Vehicle Features. That should open a sub-section with lots of additional options and you can veify that the connected vehicle features are enabled.

Having said that ... this particular menu is a bit "clunky" and will sometimes refuse to open EVEN when Connected Vehicle Features are enabled (basically the vehicle connectivity isn't broken ... it's the menu itself that is broklen). I sometimes do other things like ... check to see if the car can pull down information from the cloud (e.g. see if it can show real-time traffic in maps ... or real-time weather radar image (through the wrench icon in the corner of the maps menu).

'23 Premium here too, purchased in August. Three days ago I got 6.1.0 straight after being on 4.2.3, skipping over 5.x.x. I wouldn't be worried (although I was ;)). Hang tight, you'll probably get 6.2 before I do. Patience will prevail.

Patience? I’m the one who screams at the microwave to go faster! Thanks for the tip!

Most alerts play over the car audio system. But there is a simple speaker that can play alerts in the event that it can't use the audio system. Just occasionally a module is restarted after an update and I'll notice the sounds are coming through the small speaker and they sound different ... but I'll get in the car later in the day and the sounds are back to normal.

Um, shouldn't this be 6.2.1 or something? Ford's software folks really don't get the standard protocols sometimes...
Yeah, this is a really bad idea from a configuration management standpoint.

Someone needs to update the current firmware poll to 6.2.0 (original release) and 6.2.0 (re-release 1)....

The image of the FordPass release notes does not include what this updates name is. It is 23-PU1103-NAT-VCE which would have shown in the vehicle release notes I believe.

So each release has to be cleared by the NTSB for each model year, right down to the description. You can find the packages Ford submits on the NTSB site.
The actual Ford version control is at the module level. The OTA revision is a feature control version, not a software control version. The same features on one MY may have a very different set of software versions over another. The OTA version is just to try and simplify things for us drivers.
