I apologize up front for the not so great amateur pictures. But wanted to share my new setup. I have been following this thread and it has been very informative and helpful as I searched for new tires and wheels. So thank you all for sharing. I hope my information can add to yours to help someone else in their search.

2021 Premium AWD (I am the original owner....purchased July 2021)
27,750 miles

Both stock tires in front needed replaced. The stock tires in the rear could have lasted a bit longer. Supposedly the dealer rotated them at 10K and 20K mile service but I'm not convinced. But it is an EV and I drive it like it is an EV.

New shoes:
Hankook Ion Evo AS SUV Tires
265/45R-20XL (108V) all the way around
TSW Sebring Black Wheels

Just got them put on today so can't comment yet on ride quality, sound or how range may be effected (for better or for worse). But overall I am happy with how they turned out (although they need a bath).

Brice, they look great and the fitment is really good. Yes they need a bath, some tire dressing and they will look awesome especially with the rapid red.

Looking forward to your comments on the comfort (ride and sound) of these tires. They should be a little better than the Michelin's. Your range will drop a little for two reasons. The wheels are not as aero as the OEM's were and going from the OEM size tires to the ones you have now is a about 1.5" wider.

I think you will really like this setup once you get some miles on them.

The ride was better than the original tires. I had these when I had my Premium. It wasn't MagnaRide better, but better. @Bulldog, I'm interested in how it impacts your range. I lost approximately 15 to 20 miles, but I stayed with 19".

I've been toying with the idea of getting new rims/tires on my 2023 CR1. Don't want anything crazy flashy, just want something that looks nicer than the stock CR1 rims. The thing is, I don't really know anything about this stuff and reading through the thread here makes it sound like there's a ton I don't know. Anyone willing to point me in the right direction to read up on pros/cons of choosing tires/rims? I think we want to stick with 18" that we currently have to not lose too much range. It looks like some people have also put bigger tires in the back and smaller in the front, what exactly does that do? Does tire width/thickness change anything as well?

I assume you purchased a CR1 because it has the best range. The biggest reason for the long range is the wheels and tires. If you change those, you will not get the range you paid for. If that is not the reason you got the CR1, then do it! The CR1 wheels certainly could look better.

How did you find these? I am also looking for no range loss. Currently have regular 18" select wheels and am thinking of going to the 19" premiums just to give it a better look.

Posting here as a thanks since I’ve gotten all the knowledge I needed from this thread and @markboris. Hopefully it will be of help to someone in the future looking for a wheel upgrade with no range loss.

I’ve done a same round trip comparison a weeks after the change and it showed zero range loss (same for long term comparison), in fact a very slight increase, but that could be down to other factors. Insanely happy with that result.

rims: Volvo XC90 9x20 +38 (used)
Tyres: Pirelli Scorpion Elect
255/45/20

Rims:
Needed something aerodynamic and was fortunate enough that Volvo wheels fit well on the Mach-e. I’ve noticed a lot of people writing they prefer dark rims / thinner spokes, personally I like chunkier rims on the Mach-e. I normally prefer dark rims but I felt the black fenders “eat up” the dark wheels, so was very happy with outcome. Personal preference of course.

tyres:
in Europe we have ratings on the tires for rolling resistance, these are Pirelli’s Elect that are designed for EVs and they have the highest rolling resistance rating, which I’m sure helped with the range, perhaps not as much as the aero rims though.

There’s a lot more grip when driving, even in everyday situations.

The car feels more sturdy. Before it would “waggle” after taking a corner too hard or driving over speed bumps etc, now it’s smoother.

its quieter, not by a massive amount but I do appreciate it. This I’m sure is from the tires.

You will lose range if you put the Premium wheels on your car. At slow speeds, you might not be able to measure the difference, but you will at highway speeds. I am 100% sure of that. The only way you could match the efficiency is if you found a tire that has lower rolling resistance than the stock Select tire, but I really doubt that is possible.

Ford put a low rolling resistance tire on the car, and I think the best you can do is match it. And if the rolling resistance is similar, aerodynamic resistance will be worse with the Premium wheels, which will give you less range on the highway. You can expect the range to be similar to the Premium model's range with the same battery.

Recommendations on the best set of all seasons for snowy climates? Wore out the factory set, so considering just getting an entire new set of tires/wheels while I'm at it.

Probably looking for something square and rotatable. 20x9 maybe to still be compatible with the factory wheels as a winter set? Maybe 255s or 265s while I'm making changes, cuz... why not?

Tires? Offset? What's working for everyone else so far?

Yeah I get that, but wouldn't I see similar range if I kept the wheel diameter the same? I'm not looking to upgrade to 20" or anything, fine keeping 18", just want something that looks a little less bland. Likely would keep OEM tires until they need replacement as well if possible.

No, your range will be impacted with a wheel that is less aerodynamic. The stock wheel was designed to be as aerodynamic as possible, and pretty much every aftermarket wheel will be less aerodynamic.

The wheel diameter impacts range because the wheel is usually less aerodynamic than the smooth surface of the tire, and a smaller wheel requires a tire with a taller sidewall for the same circumference. The sidewall is very aerodynamic. Wheel spokes are not. Well, they can be if make into a fan shape, but still that is not as good as a smooth surface.

Got it, makes sense. I'd be fine with the loss of a little bit of range. I imagine it shouldn't be too drastic if I stay at 18". We already don't get the advertised range since we do a lot of highway driving averaging 80-85mph

A rim with poor aerodynamics will definitely have less impact if it is 18" instead of 20". The rims will have a much larger impact at 80-85 mph than at slower speeds. The faster you go, the worse it will be. At city speeds (25-35) it is possible you won't notice a difference in efficiency with the new rims.

Got my HRE FF10 22x9.5" Installed yesterday by @VibeMotorsports - Absolutely love the wheels, just need my drop and Steeda sway bars installed. Hopefully next week.

I originally thought 22" wheels would look too big, but I'm very happy with my choice. They fit perfect and don't even seem like 22" wheels.
