Thanks to MarkBoris and Terrance from Signature Wheel.

Gary, your Mach-E looks sporty lowered. Let me know how you like the tires. Those Pirelli P Zero All Season's are EV tuned for the BMW i7 and I've gotten the best range out of them than any other tires I've tested. They are what I am running right now and also smooth riding and quiet.

Running Signature SV706 also. 255 and 295

Gary, did you also lower your car like NorCal Gary? Your Mach-E looks very sporty too. I've ordered several sets of wheels from Terrance over the years but when I ordered the SV706's, he said I was the first to order that model and that they weren't that popular of a style. You are the 5th member I know of that has this wheel. Hope you enjoy them as much as I have.

I was wondering about that because I know most all the wheels that Terrance sells to Mach-E owners and didn't hear about your sale. You might have told me but I forgot. Joe (louiebluey) bought the SV706's shortly after seeing mine and so the trend started.

Taking photos from different angles can really lessen the look of the gap between the tires and wheel opening. Of course taller tires like the ones we are running lessen the gap also.

Love the bronze! This may have convinced me to pull the trigger on the color.

Regarding the Pirelli P Zero All season, I have 50 miles on them so Im not sure if my range is affected. I'll keep an eye on it. I like the Michelin squared-off sidewall look. These Pirelli's are more rounded. Im not sure which is to my liking. But, the ride is smooth and quiet on the Pirellis.

After seeing the SV706 on MarkBoris' lowered Premium, I had to get it. It seems like a throw-back and nod to the ICE Mustangs - which I'm cool with. Im thinking of color matching the fenders. (I'm doing everything MarkBoris does. SV706, Pirellis, lowered, and I'm eating what he eats and sleeping when he sleeps.)

Since I have the Cali Route 1 edition, I just replaced my 18' wheels, but the more I look at these different styles, I will most likely go to 20' wheels with wide tires once these tires that I have wear down. I like the new Bridgestone Tires, but wouldn't mind some Nitto Tires if they come out with a EV line.

I am with you on the look of the Michelin Pilot series tires and their squared off sidewall. I would not put anything other than that on my performance cars (I have Michelin Pilot Sport 4S's on the GT500) but the I wanted a quieter, smoother riding tire and all three Michelin performance tires I tried on the Mach-E where anything but. That's why I went with the Pirelli P Zero All Season that was developed for the BMW i7. I needed an all season tire to cope with the colder temps and light snow we get in the winter. It's quiet, rides smooth and it is EV tuned. I don't want to change out tires during the seasons.

Lance, I personally didn't place the range as a priority but most folks will get the CA R1 for it's 300+ claim. The highest of all MME trims. I haven't driven enough miles to determine whether the wider tires will take a hit or not. Others on this forum may have better experience and accurate numbers. Although the Pirellis are tuned for EVs, everyone's driving experience may vary.

Here's my setup.

I went with 19 X 8.5 Bremmer Kraft gunmetal wheels, 245/50/19 Pirelli P Nero Zero tires. The setup is a better ride and handles better. I think I probably should've gone with Pirelli All-Seasons but the tire guy in my are kind of pushed me toward these based on our climate. Generally, I think they are a solid choice but it will be a problem if I take the care up to the Sierra for any ski trips since its not a great cold weather tire. I do have a Jeep as my other car...so not an emergency and I can obviously change to a different tire once these wear out.

Overall this is a very clean look, maybe not as aggressive as some the other setups here, but I think its a big upgrade across the board. Appreciate all the help..particularly @markboris...provided a wealth of info and insights. Part of the fun is experimenting isn't it?

Those of you that are running wider wheels and tires: have you noticed any performance dips? Although it’s still beyond quick, I feel as if the 295 makes the head-snapping acceleration slightly lower. Maybe it’s me, but just seems that it took a slight hit.

Hey Gary, beings the 295/40/20 tire is just over 1/2" taller (15mm) than the stock tire, it's very possible that "head-snapping" acceleration could feel slightly lower. However because the tires are wider and more grippy (you now have summer performance tires opposed to the all season tires you had) they will hook up better and won't spin when accelerating off the line.

Also, your new wheel/tire set up in the rear is slightly lighter than the your stock setup was. While your new tires are about 7 lbs heavier than the stock tires, your wheels are 10 lbs lighter so overall you are 3 lbs lighter for each rear wheel/tire and your fronts are another 4 lbs lighter each than the rears. That is a total saving of 14 lbs of unsprung weight.

The main advantage for going with the wider/lighter setup is handling. I'm sure you have noticed the way the car handles is much better and the car also rides better beings it is a lighter setup with slightly taller sidewall tires.

When it comes time to replace your tires, I would keep your front tires size at 255/45/20 but would go down one size in the rear to 285/40/20. Those will be 1/4" shorter than the rears you have now and the same exact diameter (height) as the fronts. That's what I am currently running right now.

Staying with a summer performance tire, there are two I would recommend. My top pick would be the Pirelli P Zero I Star BMW PNCS. This tire was developed for the BMW i7 EV and is EV tuned with noise reduction tech. Not as high of a performance tire than the Michelin's I mention next but much quieter and smoother riding. Sticking with the Michelin brand you can get the Latitude Sport 3. That tire comes on Mercedes and Porsche SUV's from the factory. While it's a great performance tire, it's a little noisy and rides a bit harsh. Going with an all season, the Pirelli P Zero All Season Star BMW is a great tire. It is an EV tuned, high performance all season developed for the BMW i7 and while it will not perform as good as the two performance tires I mentioned earlier, it rides better and is quieter. This is the tire I have been running for the last 15K miles and really like them.

Thank you so much for the information!! Will definitely look into all of these options.

I apologize up front for the not so great amateur pictures. But wanted to share my new setup. I have been following this thread and it has been very informative and helpful as I searched for new tires and wheels. So thank you all for sharing. I hope my information can add to yours to help someone else in their search.

2021 Premium AWD (I am the original owner....purchased July 2021)
27,750 miles

Both stock tires in front needed replaced. The stock tires in the rear could have lasted a bit longer. Supposedly the dealer rotated them at 10K and 20K mile service but I'm not convinced. But it is an EV and I drive it like it is an EV.

New shoes:
Hankook Ion Evo AS SUV Tires
265/45R-20XL (108V) all the way around
TSW Sebring Black Wheels

Just got them put on today so can't comment yet on ride quality, sound or how range may be effected (for better or for worse). But overall I am happy with how they turned out (although they need a bath).
