So close, but just a tad too far away. I'm taking my 21J1 FE AWD in today for a charge port replacement. From what I understand, this requires a really extensive teardown. Meaning I'll likely get my car back just to have another extensive teardown done for the HVBJB in a month or two.
It's not an extensive teardown to drop the battery for the HVBJB repair. They basically just unhook the cables and hoses and unbolt it.

They are getting better at laying out all the details of these recalls, should be no ambiguity with dealers

Now that parts are available, I would think the dealer will want to take care of the recall at the same time. Dealers are actually supposed to perform any open recall with parts available any time a car is in for service unless the customer specifically declines to have the recall performed at that time. However, reality and procedures are usually two different things.

With how backed up Ford dealers were before this recall, I have a feeling the wait time for a HVBJB recall appointment will soon be a few months out in busy markets.

Standard range batteries have not been recalled. Extended range only.
Gotcha. Am I overlooking that in the recall bulletin? I'm not seeing that. I remember the first notice referred to GT's and extended range.

It’s says “certain vehicles” but not explicitly extended range like the NHTSA documents.

Parts for safety recall 23S56 are now available in limited quantities. Please note there will be a priority system, GTs get first priority, followed by AWD, then RWD last (extended range packs only). You will be notified by mailing in waves based on the priority system. It's suggested that you wait until you get your mailing before scheduling. However, in the meantime if you get a SVS (Service Vehicle Soon) from a failing HVBJB, you should be given priority.

Please be patient as this will be quite a process to repair all the HVBJBs on 30,000 Mach-E's. Once it's your turn and you have a scheduled appointment, your dealer should order parts about a week in advance (see note below).

Also, there is another note about previous HVBJB replacement:

This means that if you had your HVBJB previously replaced as part of TSB 23-2348, you will not need to get it replaced again.

Hopefully this does not apply to 2023 models?

I believe the production date cutoff was through May 2022.

My 2022 CR1 was produced in May so I will patiently wait at the back of the line.....

I am hoping this time-consuming repair will trigger a free loaner...

I just made the appointment for my '21 Job 1, as per the language on Ford's website for my vehicle (bolded text is my emphasis):

Remedy
Parts are now available to repair your vehicle
. Ford Motor Company has authorized your dealer to replace the high voltage battery junction box, and reprogram associated modules, free of charge parts and labor. Please call your dealer without delay and request a service date for recall 23S56. Provide the dealer with your vin, which is printed near your name at the beginning of this letter. Ford has not issued instructions to stop driving your vehicle under this safety recall. You should contact your dealer for an appointment to have your vehicle remedied as soon as practicable. Until the required part has been installed on your vehicle, Ford recommends avoiding repeated back-to-back wide open pedal accelerations using dc fast charging only when necessary example long trips
The person taking the call did not seem to have all of the detail, including information about a loaner, how long the repair would take, etc. I also have the CSP for the BCM that will be taken care of as part of the same appointment.

They were going to get me in next week, but I pushed it a week to make sure I don't end up in one of those "oh, we need to order parts" situations. I am going to call later this week or very early next to talk through the details that were outlined in Mach-Lee's posting.

My experience with HVBJB failures is a bit ironic. My first failure occurred the day the initial recall went out back in October. I received a reman part which failed two days ago. My dealer had me drop my car off again last night and poof this update to the recall comes out. He indicated he did not know when they would have time to look at it but thankfully each time I take my car in, they put me in a Mach E loaner. I am crossing my fingers that my car gets the latest and greatest this round.

@Mach-Lee I know this question has been asked a million times throughout a million threads but if I manage to get this "new" part, I assume it is the same as what they are installing in current Mach Es or did they make additional changes to avoid failure. Sorry, I'd say that am lazy to look for the answer but I am seeing cross-eyed after looking at countless threads on the subject.
