I had this problem pop up a few weeks ago out of the blue... only came up once and I wasn't able to use Bluecruise as a result for that trip. It hasn't appeared since.

My car is going in for the HVAC update on Monday, and a CMR software update is present for my car, so we'll see what they have to say (if anything) when they pull the error codes.
Hey there, Kevin! Can you please send me a direct message with your VIN and dealer name/location so I can look into this camera fault message concern for you? If you'd like, I'd be happy to see what I can do to assist! To send a DM, just click on our username and select "Start Conversation".

Thank you for the offer but since it was a one-off, I'm not worried about it. The car is already at the dealer today and I expect to pick it up in the next hour.

Another update for those keeping score. I took the car in back in July. Had the tsb for realigning the steering wheel done. That seemed to fix the problem for one day. The next day the car was right back to “Driver Monitor Camera Fault.” So a new camera was placed today and hopefully things are right.

Prior to getting my windshield replaced the only reprieve I had from driver monitor camera fault was when I pulled the negative cable from my battery for a few mins. It would be ok for a day or so then back to its antics.

Since you reminded me - update on mine:

My car somehow got magically fixed in the safelite shop which makes no sense, but haven’t really had any issues for at least 15k miles of HFBC. There was a few weeks after a software update where I had a spat of driver monitor camera faults, but after the last round of 4.whatever.x updates my car has been back to flawless

Driver camera monitor fault just appeared for me. I noticed BlueCruise didn't turn on when expected, but it was during inclement weather when I first noticed and chalked it up to that. After a few more times, I realized the eye nanny LEDs are not lighting up (typically can see a faint red glow, or can look through my phone camera to see them, but they're blank). Toggled lane centering while cruise was set and received the fault.

Tried doing some things mentioned here such as toggling on/off quickly, etc but to no avail. I just scheduled service, but they can't get me in for about 2 weeks which is a bummer (and probably means another bit to diagnose /replace any parts that are needed). I wonder if it could be as simple as a fuse.

I can't be sure, but it may have started soon after I got the last update (although probably unrelated).

Just to be clear (since I may be saying the wrong terminology), hands free BlueCruise and hands on BlueCruise both do not work. Lane departure alert seems to still work and I have the green lane edge markers (which alert me if I stray over them - I also feel a bit of a tug, but nothing like hands on BlueCruise did).

Did anyone with this issue ever get it resolved or did it require a trip to the dealership? @Ford Motor Company get any answers? This has happened to me as well and I've been unable to use BlueCruise for the last two weeks. Of course I just paid $800 to renew my subscription.

Mine was resolved after Safelite auto glass replaced my windshield. The issue came back after the last round of updates, however there is an update that I haven’t received yet that is supposed to address this issue. Hopefully they resume the power up series bringing BC 1.4 to early build cars.

Tired of waiting for a possible OTA update fix. I went ahead and made a service appointment at my dealership because I really want full adaptive cruise control and BlueCruise back as I have a daily roundtrip commute of around 60 miles. Will be my first time getting service, so hoping for the best.

My BlueCruise stopped working after I renewed my subscription. I already called Ford's tech support 18 times, without getting to someone that showed some knowledge. After so many calls they asked me to take the car to the dealership (Ford of Kirkland, WA), left the car there for 4 days just to hear from them that they didn't find any issues (without a road test).

I found a possible troubleshooting option here at the forum:

You may need to perform these steps to force a BlueCruise map update (from TSB 23-2122):

Vehicle Connectivity Verification/Map Update Procedure
1. Verify if the vehicle connectivity is set to ON. Go to Settings > Connectivity > Under Connected Vehicle Features the Vehicle Connectivity setting should be ON.
NOTE: If not, ask customers to turn it ON if they wish to use BlueCruise as BlueCruise will not work with Vehicle Connectivity set to OFF.
2. Update BlueCruise Maps:
(1). Cycle the ignition off and on 10 times (20 presses).
(2). Keep ignition on.
(3). Wait 5 minutes.
(4). Perform an additional ignition cycle off then on.
(5). Check SYNC About screen for this message: Hands-Free Driving Mode available through 10-06-2073 or future date.

Thanks. I'll give this a try. I'm pretty sure it's a driver camera issue though as you can see that the infrared lights aren't on.

Have you been able to resolve this yet?

I took mine in as well after the update and they ended up replacing the driver facing camera module. It worked for a week and then it went back not working. The infrared lights stopped working and I returned to the dealership to get it serviced again. After a few days, the technician informed me that the issued had been escalated to Ford and they are working on an OTA update sometime in March. Hopefully they credit us for the blue cruise downtime.

Unfortunately, my dealer couldn't do anything either and referred me to the service bulletin that a fix is coming in March. If they don't credit us for loss of BlueCruise during this time, I'll be looking at the service agreement to see what it says about outages caused by Ford. Surely Ford will make this right.
