I'm confused. I got the original recall notice, but I though Ford was supposed to inform me when the new parts were available. Do I need to call the dealership?

@Ford Motor Company - this seems like something you might be qualified to answer.
I received a couple of recall reminder notices and decided to call the dealer to see if I could set an appointment and they were able to get me in right away. Call and have them check to see what recalls are pending.

Your recall experience was the exact opposite of mine. I dropped it off on Tuesday and they said it'd be ready in a few days. Now, it's Friday, and they said they have no one who can work on it until Monday and they cannot give a loaner or a rental car. Sigh.

Your recall experience was the exact opposite of mine. I dropped it off on Tuesday and they said it'd be ready in a few days. Now, it's Friday, and they said they have no one who can work on it until Monday and they cannot give a loaner or a rental car. Sigh.
The recall notice for the HVJB states they will pay for a rental or provide a loaner car. You should speak to the service manager and let them know this is unacceptable.

Almost enough to make me want to spend the $600 on the Air Design front lip, almost.


Does it get super hot and do you use wireless AA or CP? That'll drain the battery faster than the 5watt wireless can attempt to charge, even if you get your phone lined up just right and take the case off.
I use CP sometimes. The thing I notice is it will not stay connected to the charger for more than a few minutes. Then I have to reposition and the cycle starts over again. I have tried it with and without the case and no difference.

This talk of a new phone charging mat has me intrigued. Has Ford come up with something to make the cell phone charger usable?
I was so concerned with my HVBJB failure after two weeks of ownership, I haven't had the time to address the phone charger. It barely keeps my phone at the current charge and it overheats it.

Dealer mileage will vary tremendously. Some don't even have a Mach-E capable mechanic on staff. Some dealers will absolutely never have a loaner or free rental of any sort.

Called the dealer I’ve been going to- because it’s ok convenient factor- BUT they don’t have EV loaners.

IMO, EV owners should get EV loaners.

Have no idea if I’ll get some pity package of points from them or Ford. Not sure how into EVs this dealer is or if they are interested in selling me my next vehicle.

If I wanted a Mach E loaner while they worked on my car the wait would have been longer but I was fine with whatever they had available. The Ford Escape ST was very nice and has some features the Mach E should have.

Mine took 2 months to arrive, and it was the new part rather than the remanufactured part.
I just got a call that the car is completed, so I'll be going to pick it up tomorrow.
I am wondering about the gift. So far Michelle is the only one to report having received it as far as I can tell.

But I don’t know if remember how to use a pump. ?

I know. My GF still drives w gas. We always take my car when we go somewhere so she can help me out.

I took my car in on Tuesday to complete the high voltage junction box recall along with a couple other recalls that were on my VIN and and get my tires rotated and they were done with it on Thursday. They provided me with a 2023 Ford escape to drive in the meantime and I'm now waiting to get it washed. The service tech said a new program started today and Ford is providing all Mach E owners that complete the recall with a free car wash, 30,000 Ford pass reward points, a new mobile phone charging mat with the latest design and a $50 gift card to reimburse for gas or charging for the loaner vehicle. I am very impressed and this was completely unexpected so thank you to @Ford Motor Company!!

Must be a Canadian thing.
Although a usable phone charging mat might be good to have.
Even the FordPass rewards might come in handy some day.
