I hate the new UI on the drivers front screen.

Would you have skipped on the MachE if it had this front panel, and bought an Ioniq or Tesla instead?

My '23 has this screen always. Bought the car with it. I wasn't crazy about the nearly pointless car in the middle, but the location of the MPH and car icons wasn't such a dealbreaker to buy a different car.

No, I actually had no intention of getting a Mach-E. I was getting out of my Tesla lease and drove past a FORD dealership. I parked got out and (of course) a sales guy asked what car I was interested in. I pointed at 1 of 12 Mach-E's they had. I sat in the premium, then I sat in the California Route 1. I negotiated the deal and bought the CR1 model. Me driving it off the lot was my very first time driving the car. As soon as I pulled out of the dealership I was in love. I had a Tesla for 4 years and it was a good car, more or less, but there were so many on the road (I live in California) that it became so monotonous. You could close your eyes and throw a stone and hit 3 Teslas before it hits the ground. I have the grabber blue CR1 with black painted accents. I love the color. Anyway, yes the Tesla battery range was and still is a total lie. With 289 miles of charge, I would drive 100 miles and my remaining battery would be at 18-20%. I have to give it to Ford, I feel like the mile estimation is damn near accurate.

We used to play a Tesla tic-tac-toe game where we would try to spot 3 Teslas in a row (either in the same lane, across, or diagonally. Eventually it became: can you find 3 non-teslas in a row, because of how ubiquitous Teslas are.

Another gift after 6.8, the speed does not go to 0 when stopped, it stays at 1.

Yeah, Ford's SW regression systems seem to be a: "does it compile? Release!". They've taken note from game publishers.

Not only has it slipped through on initial release, they chose not to address it during the Holiday pause. They chose not to pause 6.8 until this is resolved. And this is a bug that you can visually detect. The code base is most likely plagued with countless other examples of this that you can't see, but causes your car to behave in weird ways.

One big reason for me to not get a Tesla was just that. Besides the fact that I find them ugly and that people have to go to 10 white M3s before they find theirs in a mall parking lot. ?

People seem to think we are their therapist. They come her to complain about the most pointless things and then get mad.

It’s like that everywhere on the internet. You can’t control it why try????
Most of the forums I have used (I don’t use many) have a built-in search as you create your new thread topic, that shows the best matches of your topic, which seems to work quite well in minimizing the me too topics being created.

Anyone have 1Mph anyway of 0? Could this be a conversion error maybe? I don’t recall see 1 Mph at stop. I’m I would have noticed that, but now I’m going to check.

I'm turning off updates until this feature is unbroken or another feature comes out that's worth having.
As much as many folks, including myself, don’t like the new ipc layout it is not actually broken. It is part of their new UI. While it was not originally intended to be part of this set of updates, it was going to happen sooner or later — like it or not. This is also how the 2023s have looked since day 1.

As for turning off updates, that works for inhibit updates only. 6..8, which accomplishes this change, is an inhibit update.

If you want a very customizable driver display, buy a GM vehicle. Plenty of options for layout and selecting what gets displayed.

We call out white Teslas. Stays pretty active until someone loses count.

I've gotten this issue several times in the last two days after the update already.

I don't understand what this means. So far as I can tell, I turned off all updates well over a year ago. My most recent update was installed in October 2022, according to FordPass. Do you think I have gotten some unwanted (and undisclosed) updates since then?
