Good afternoon

ABRP has been suggested as a great route provider for long trips. I have reviewed some youtube videos about adding a BLE ODB (dongle) to get live feed from your vehicle and updates as to the status of the vehicle during a journey.

First question:

The big questions now , is there any value to having ABRP with a dongle vs not having a dongle?

Second Questions:

Also, if you go with the premium service, they include weather, elevation along with the info coming from the vehicle with the dongle. I feel like all I am doing is what the onboard Nav does already. Any comments? Open to opinions on this.

It's not worth it since the latest range estimation updates.

Two years ago it was great for giving decent estimates on arrival SOC for longer trips. It still is, but the Ford GOM has gotten a lot better, usually within 10mi of initial estimate in my experience, even on complicated trips.

ABRP is terrible for navigation, though.

Thanks for the reply, I almost feel like I am simply duplicating what is already there

I think so. Play around with the Ford Nav settings by touching the info on either end of the Nav bottom bar. Many owners don't realize how many choices are in these Nav bar ends, changeable on the fly.

I just did a trip that brought the car to its range limits and was using Ford & ABRP side by side... I was VERY impressed that ABRP was 95% accurate at all times of the exact charge of my car on the entire route. No Dongle/No Car direct connection

was the Ford Nav 100% accurate to the ABRP?
