Since receiving Priority Update 23-PU0907-RAD-ON, my cruise control resets itself to 55 mph when I KNOW I have it set at 50. It has happened more than once. I've not noticed it at other speeds, it seems just when I set it to 50. Anyone else seeing anything similar?

Do you have the Predictive Speed Assist turned on?

Could be an error in the map data or the camera is reading the speed limit sign incorrectly.

We have ours set to always have cruise at 5mph over whatever the speed limit says and it's awesome! I'm gonna guess you have your tolerance set to +5 and that's what is going on.

If the car sees a 60 mph sign it automatically increases to 65.

WE LOVE IT!!!!!!!!! THANK YOU FORD!

I have no speed limit warnings set, so even if the car is misreading the speed limit signs, it should not actually change my cruise control setting, right?

That's an interesting thought but I am not using those settings. Last time this happened, I was in a 45 Zone and I had the control set at 50, and it bumped itself to 55

The first thing I would try would be to turn in on then turn it back off just to be certain.. If that didn't work then I would perform a master reset on the car. Then pair your Fordpass app back up as well as blutooth if you use that feature don't forget to setup a profile or phone as a key as well.

It can change your cruise set speed if Predictive Speed Assist is turned on. It can change your speed based on map data or mis-reading a speed limit sign.

It’s not the speed limit warning, that’s something else.

Check the Drivers Assistance menu > Cruise Control > Predictive Speed Assist.

See here I have it turned off.

I thought predictive speed assist was just for curves so that it automatically lowers the speed around tight curves. Sounds like his tolerance is +5 under speed limit assist like another person mentioned.

I have BC 1.0 so no predictive speed assist for me and my tolerance is set as +5 so that when it recognizes a speed limit sign, it automatically sets it 5 above the speed limit.

Better double check your settings, I bet it got turned on without your knowledge.

I encountered this recently in my MME and following advice from this forum I read the owners manual in more detail and realised that this is a feature of the Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control which will change the set speed .

Quoted from the MME Owners Manual " Intelligent adaptive cruise control combines speed sign recognition and navigation map data with adaptive cruise control to adjust the cruise set speed to the speed limit detected by the speed sign recognition system. As the system detects new speed signs, the set speed updates. There are limitations that affect the accuracy of the speed sign recognition system and its ability to determine the current speed limit. The intelligent adaptive cruise control system and its ability to determine the current speed limit shares these limitations. See Traffic Sign Recognition (page 269). "

I find it can be a useful feature.
