Serious question- What will last longer, the MME or Rivian? I have a bet on another site and my money's on the MME.

The brands, or any given vehicle?

I just did a quick search on cars.com and some dealers are already aggressively discounting the '23 Mach E's still on their lots.

Check this one out, $10,000 price drop and now $15,000 off msrp, just one of many.

https://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/4fe4a81a-9e87-4c88-a900-28e63e15c24b/

You link doesn't work. Don't just look at the price off MSRP thinking it is a good deal or really even thinking it is a huge discount. It may not be.

Close to the top of the list on my cars.com search... a GT with performance pack and nite pony package.... 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E for sale in Decatur - 3FMTK4SX2PMA04076 - Lynn Layton Ford $72425 MSRP. Dealer discount $9245. Rebate $3000. Selling price $59,993. Sounds good, right. Is it a good deal?

Look at the sticker. Base MSRP is $63,995. This tells me it is an older job 1 build. The bottom of the sticker shows a build date of 01/31/2023. The car is over a year old now.

The job 1 GT with performance pack is $6000 more than the job 2 with $5000 less on the base MSRP and $1000 less on the performance pack option. In other works a job 2 build 3 months old with same trim and options would be after the rebate and a more modest $3000 dealer discount about the same price. Would you take a $12000 discount on older build or $6000 off on a newer build when it gets to the same price?

I still have not been able to get a dealer to let go of an older build for less than my best OTD offers for job 2 builds.

The oldest of the 2023 job 1 builds now go back about 461 days on market.

I feel bad for the uninformed who may walk on a dealers lot to purchase an older job1 build thinking he is getting a really good deal.

Honestly I am not in the market so I am not digging too deeply but just wanted to show some dealers are aggressively trying to unload older inventory. Try this link, it's the dealer not cars.com;

Dang, that's best I have seen on a dealer website. Thank you for sharing. It's a Job 2 build with September build date. Leasehackr calculator shows you can lease it for 12k/36months for $420 before tax with Ford's RCL $7500 lease incentive and just over $1100 DAS. Leasehackr gives it a 12.6 score which is really good. The fine print does say the charge $2000 for a vip advantage package on all new cars. Hard to know if they would remove. I am looking for an AWD premium with extended battery.

The way I did my cars.com was to just search for lowest price Premium Mach E any distance from me and then verify on dealer websight.

For what its worth, Ford Canada just announced 0% financing on all F150 2023 stock. I hope this and more trickles down to the Mach E

Ford needs to take a page out of the Tesla handbook and slash their prices right now. The moment Tesla had even a whiff of inventory building up, they started knocking the price down.
Difference is Tesla still makes money on every car sold. Can't say the same for the MME.

I saw a Mach-E today at a rental car facility so it seems Ford is making fleet sales now. I don't think they did so in the past?

Finding others with $12000 dealer discount before incentives.

The only viable downside as far as I can see is the current state of infrastructure.
NACS was a major coup for EV's. I have had my Mach-E since August 23 and it has been simply amazing.
Insurance did go up an uncomfortable amount due to "increase on repair costs".
