When I go over sharp bumps, I hear a squeaking coming from somewhere behind me. Anyone else deal with something like this? ( I realize this is the most minor of issues, but a little irritating nonetheless.)

I am taking the car in on Monday for some recall work (minor - not HVBJB), and I am wondering if I should mention it. Might it be a covered item?

Also, does it benefit the dealer to do TSBs? Should I ask them to check on pillar wind noise? I think I hear some - but it isn't a big deal to me.

Thanks,
Eric

If you have a problem covered by a TSB, the dealer will get paid under warranty according to terms in the TSB.

If I had those issues, I wouldn’t hesitate to bring it to the attention of my dealer.

Are your seats lowered forward for cargo? I had the same thing and realized it was the leather seats rubbing against each other and it squeaked.

I have a 21 premium and have had the car in several times for a squeaking sound in the back. Dealer couldn’t figure it out and most of the time couldn’t replicate it. I finally figured it out and took care of it myself. It was the weather seal by the C pillar. On bumps the small amount of body flex was causing the weather seal to rub where it makes contact. I bought some DuPont seal saver and it’s gone. Just thought I would mention my experience I. Hopes yours is something this easy as well.

They are up, and at times there are people sitting in them and still it squeaks...

This is very helpful! Thank you.

BTW - I love the pic of the 71 Mach 1. I had a 73 fastback years and years ago. Felt like driving in a tunnel, but I loved the way it looked rolling down the street.

Hi there! Would you send us a private message with your VIN and dealership name and location? I’d like to look into this concern on my end.

I took my vehicle in for 2 issues, interior panel noise and rear cracking noise when taking off, so far they have repaired the interior panel noise but still working on the rear cracking noise..

I had terrible squeaking in the back after the HVBJB was replaced.

turns out 2 push pins were missing from the rocker panel moldings. They said the pins had fallen off, my guess is they weren’t put back in properly after they replaced the HVBJB.

anyway, 2 hours after dropping off the car it was fixed. No more noise.

Mine started after that repair as well. Thanks, I am going to mention that to my service rep.

When I first saw the thread title I have to admit "giggity" may have crossed my mind. :D
Frankly. I'm surprised it took this long for ya to get to this. I appreciate the restraint. :)
