That does look a lot better than the Lyriq. I don’t think this competes with the Mach-E at all obviously though.
Haha, yes the Mach E is no competition but until Ford releases some information on their upcoming Explorer EV all my competitor threads are entitled Mach E vs..XXXXX

How the Vistiq slots into Cadillac's lineup (to nobody's surprise). Taken from the China debut.

You can buy a Mach E. The Vistiq will come to you at some point from the company that has delivered 5,000 Lyrics in 2023.

The Lyriq was on my list. They still are not able to make them, and are barely able to make AWD and Super Cruise. So I 'x'ed them off my list. I suspect my MME will suffice. I still recommend it for someone who wants a larger SUV - but ONLY after GM masters their software.

I had ordered a Lyriq Sport 2. The wait, plus concerns about 1st year issues caused me to look at other cars. I am happy with the GTPE, but the Lyriq would have been cool as well.

Exactly, a little realism is needed when comparing a car that you could drive off the lot in early '21 with a concept that might come out in 2026.

Caught testing on roads already. Scoop: GMAuthority. The rear 3/4 window is borrowing its design from the Chinese Optiq.

Is that because they had trouble making enough or trouble selling them?

I was a bit surprised when I saw a whole bunch sitting out front on the lot of my local Cadillac dealer. I figured they were all presold, but I guess not. They have 20 listed for sale on their website. 50 mile search shows 77 available.

My local GM dealer has several Lyriqs on the lot. They said that everyone is asking for a Bolt and nobody wants a Lyriq.

Maybe one day manufacturers will get the message-

People don’t want ugly cars.

Plain and boring can still sell.

But good luck moving ugly cars off the lot!

At least this Vistiq is somewhat normal looking.

GM had huge problems making the Ultium battery packs. In an interview, John Voelcker indicated he heard the contractor making them was unable to automate the process and they were building the packs up by hand. They claim to have finally solved that.

Of course, there were also the stop sales. I know the Blazer stop sale is still on, don't think it impacts the Caddys though.
