Ok got my reservation. I received my email. If the order number is my place it says 14,192 lol. The confirmation says shipping June 2024. Well, maybe Ill get mine by the Summer I guess.

I registered today at 11:30 AM CST. I don’t know exactly what order I am in (as the XX registrant on the FordPass site) but it does tell me I have an estimated ship date of April 2024 so people must be signing up like crazy!

Your email says June 2024 like mine. Where are you getting April?

Anyone else hope that "ship BY May " translates into "we have shipped your adapter " and it will be here BY March

that's what she said
Yup, but if I use it through my tesla app (and join their membership) it will drop the rates down even more compared to billing through blue oval network.
But you have to pay a monthly fee for the membership don't you? I would think unless you do a lot of public charging it's not cost effective?

Yes, $13/month.

But even without monthly fee, their standard rate is lower then what I have to pay for electricity at home from the local utility company.
At home my rate is $0.53/kwh. The two closest Tesla superchargers are $0.44 and $0.46/kwh without membership or $0.35/kwh with memebership.

My local utilities wants to increase rates by 15% again this spring. So potentially my home electricity rate could be around $0.60/kwh in a few months.

Wow 53 cents a kwh at home, that's painful.

Order #14833, shipping TBD.
What's the over/under on the number of adapters left attached to the supercharging cable?
Likely 0 as you can't insert the charging cable back into the Tesla charger with the adapter still on it. You'll have to take the adapter off to return the cable back to the dock on the charger.

In Ohio we can compare and sign up for a rate plan that locks us into a rate for an extended period of time I locked in last year for 4 years and missed the rate hike here . Is that an option there ?

The adapter will work on the V3 and V4 (250KW) chargers. The older V2 and V1 chargers are 150KW or less. So you don't want to use those anyway as the charging speed will be too slow.
The Mach E maxes out at like 170kW anyways, and that's at very low SoC which then quickly drops off in charging speed. You really wouldn't see much, if any, improvement in a Mach E between a V2 and V3 charger if you were able to use a V2.

Nope, not in CA. The utilities do have to submit the request and get gov approval. But they've been increasing rates like crazy. 8 years ago I was paying $0.18/kwh, today it's $0.53 with possibility of that going to $0.60 in a month or two if the gov approves it.

And you don't have a choice, there's only one utility serving each area.
