Nope.

The manual on 163 says you cannot unplug the DCFC CCS plug without unlocking it.

I read elsewhere that requires pushing the blue button with a key in proximity. The post has a picture of a manual page with the text highlighted. I’ll see if I can find it again.

After all there is going to be some resentment for taking two Tesla spaces to charge one Mach-E and even more when you park awkwardly to make the cable reach.
How about a Lightning pulling a travel trailer?

I’ll test it tomorrow.
I think it only applies to DCFC the AC charging page doesn’t mention this. Also there was a thread on how to release the charger manually if it won’t unlock.

My thanks to the Model E Comms team for getting me all set for our new road trip.

A few days ago this installed:

Today we're leaving with the trailer.

I've started this thread specifically for posting on experiences charging at Tesla Superchargers.

There are a few others on here who have taken delivery of their adapters (or pick them up in person today) thanks to the Model E Comms Team. We'll be charging at our first SuperCharger around lunch time.
Please accept my apology for being ignorance . What’s the hype of Tesla Superchargers? Is it more stable? More affordable? Another option to consider?
Is the Blue Oval network not enough?

Yeah. Like going 2/2 using P&C charge at Tesla SuperChargers today, then P&C not working at the EA station where we did out last charge. Hmmmm.

Weird thing is it said the payment wasn't authorized. Several times on the charger I was parked at and twice on the next one over. I was NOT going to move a truck with a travel trailer to try them all! Then I activated the station just fine using Charge Assist, which uses the same BOCN payment system as P&C.

Yep. That's what testing is alll about.
will you continue with BOCN or use Tesla’s app in order to buy down the kWh rates?

Pretty much all of the above.

Tesla’s stations are much bigger than non-Tesla stations, usually offering 2-4X as many stalls, sometimes far more than that. In fact, Tesla will build Superchargers across the street from an existing Supercharger station if they see data that warrants the need. Yakima is a good example of this.

More importantly is that Tesla is considered best in class when it comes to uptime of their stations. EA and to a lesser extent, EVgo, have a poor record of maintenances of their hardware. EA in Ellensburg is notorious for having at least 1-2 chargers broken, even on the latest gen hardware.

Lastly, there are just hundreds more Tesla stations out there that will now be available to Mach-Es. Some stations may not be useful or redundant to current CCS stations, but others might be in some useful places (Entiat near Chelan is a good example).
