Using Ford’s plug and charge does not provide one with the preferred rates if you have an EA or Tesla ($12.99 monthly) membership. It’s cheaper for those with memberships to initiate the charge through those respective apps to get the member rate. Tesla’s member rate is .35 p/kWh. EA is .36 p/kWh. I believe it is the idea for Blue Oval to work at Tesla too, but unless things have changed, one doesn’t receive the member rate. That is why I avoid Ford’s Plug and Charge. Have things changed?
Ford Pass indicates a rate $0.76 per kWh (in Canada). That nets out to more than gasoline in my area. Great in an emergency but I will never use it otherwise.

Well, I have a Model 3 Tesla...and other charging network costs per kWh...only what I have seen on the actual chargers...the ones in my area are about 15% more than Tesla. Last time I used Tesla SuperCharers in my home state of Oregon..from 34 to 38 cents per kilowatt hour. Welcome to the best charging network available.
Only if you are using a reduced Tesla charging plan….., the closest charger to me is 50 cents/ kWh. Bill P

I'm wondering if it's just me, but when I open the confirmation email containing my order number and then click on Order Status, log in, I get the following message:

I reached out via online chat, but the rep was useless as expected. I'm wondering if this has to do with the system being overloaded? As stated I have my order number, but I can't check the order status and I can't see it in my account info anywhere regarding this reservation.

Is anyone else experiencing this?

I do not know if electrically it is safe to attach an extension cable to a charger that is carrying 480 Volts and up to 300A of current.
Yes, it will be safe up to the point where it melts.;)

300A is hardly enough as it is. I charged my Hummer at a Supercharger to get a charging curve on a 400V station, since it will normally charge at 800V. It pulled 500A for 7 minutes and then stayed at 400A for another 25 minutes. The Magic Dock held up fine. Even if they start supporting 800V, the Hummer will charge at 500A up to 45% SoC.

Thanks for letting me know. It's frustrating because I reached out Ford online chat to simply find out if it's an issue at their end and I was given a corporate response. I even told the rep, why can't you just answer the question I asked?

All good, I'm not in a rush for the adapter, just wanted to make sure my order is in regardless of another glitch in Ford's system.

Getting the same error. Everybody getting this error seems to be in Canada.

Getting the same error. Everybody getting this error seems to be in Canada.
So safe to say Ford hates Canadians?! LMAO!!

I never even got a confirmation email, so I’m pretty sure they’re having ongoing system issues.
I read here that if you don't get a confirmation email, to redo it and try again. Not sure if that's needed or not, but I'd hate for you to think you're getting one and you don't.

I am just going to say it - never once will I charge at a Supercharger (or continue charging at a supercharger) if and when I am making another EV (especially a Tesla) wait because of the cable length incompatibility. It’s not civilized to do that. And while I understand that it’s not my fault that the car has to take two spots, it’s common courtesy to not block someone from charging, plain and simple.

My strategy will be to always use Tesla stations as the absolute last resort, if I ever need to use fast charging.

The option to order disappeared after the order was placed, so that doesn’t appear to be possible.

I still can't get my order in and am getting the "issues on our end" error. Argh. My dealer can't help either so I guess it's just keep trying until it works time. :(
