Using Ford’s plug and charge does not provide one with the preferred rates if you have an EA or Tesla ($12.99 monthly) membership. It’s cheaper for those with memberships to initiate the charge through those respective apps to get the member rate. Tesla’s member rate is .35 p/kWh. EA is .36 p/kWh. I believe it is the idea for Blue Oval to work at Tesla too, but unless things have changed, one doesn’t receive the member rate. That is why I avoid Ford’s Plug and Charge. Have things changed?Does anyone have any idea what Tesla's charging rates are like compared to other charger networks? I realize EV charging rates vary a lot depending on time and location but I'm wondering on average how they compare. It would be nice if there was a way to check the rates when planning a route especially if they are significantly more expensive than others for non-Tesla drivers.
On a side note I'm assuming that existing charging credits available on our accounts for the Blue Oval Network will not work at Tesla chargers even though they will be part of the network.
