The standard Select wheels are hubcaps? I thought they were gray painted aluminum.
My mistake you are correct. I'm still disappointed at the two options for the Select model. I think they could have done better in the style.

Ok so after reviewing the Mach E pdf that the forum found a few days ago, these wheels are the
18" Magnetic-Painted Aluminum with Sparkle Silver and Black Aero Cover that are
Standard: California Route 1. Never the less, these are still not good looking wheels for a EV like the the Mach E. The Premium and GT wheels are the best looking ones IMO.

I bought a 2018 Lincoln MKC and it has gap issues. The dealer said sometimes that's what happens. I didn't check the gaps beforehand because you would think quality control catches them. The dealer also said they have a 1/8 inch tolerance. Really for a $55,000 vehicle!

I know there's a lot of complaining about the Mach-e aero hubcaps. At least they're better looking than the Model 3 hubcaps, probably on par with the Model Y hubcaps. (I have not seen those in person.) Hopefully Ford has nice looking wheels under the hubcaps. The long range versions need those hubcaps to get the 300 mile EPA rating; tests have shown aero hubcaps make about a 4%-5% improvement in range. The two Teslas need those hubcaps too. But wait, there's hope. If you want the range but hate the looks--like I did with the Tesla hubcaps--go to a better tire. I swapped out the stock tires with the Michelin Cross Climate+ tires and got the same range with aftermarket wheels that I got with the stock wheels, hubcaps and tires. Sounds too good to be true, at least that's what I thought before I tried them. Don't take my word for it, look at the Consumer Reports review on the tire. That review is why I bought the tire. I have personally confirmed great rolling resistance, wet and dry performance and noise level. CR swears up and down they work great in the snow and ice as well and last 70,000 miles. I wrote a review on this forum in the tire section.

I just got back from the Portland Auto Show; there was a Mach-e in Space White there. If you order it expecting it to be white--even a bit--you're going to be disappointed. It is gray. Light gray to be sure, but nobody is going to mistake it for white. Light metallic gray. If you want light gray, you'll be thrilled with Space White.
That makes 4 of the 7 colors (on the Premium pallet, anyway) that basically look gray. This one, the silver, the actual gray, and the iconic blue which looks way more gray than blue.

I'm surprised they chose so many colorless "colors" for a Mustang (even if some refuse to call it that). There's really only one truly colorful option for the Premium (red).

Fortunately though, that red is outstanding! Of all the factory reds I've seen, the only better one, and only a tiny bit better, is the current Mazda red. I saw the new Miata in that red at the Auto Show, Nice car; a huge improvement over the old Miatas! Between that and the new Bronco coming back my commitment to EVs is being tested! :) Seriously, I preferred the Miata over the new Corvette. Very nice sports car. The 'Vette is nice, but it just doesn't look like a Corvette to me. I'm too old I guess! LOL.
