It’s not about the position of the numbers, it’s about the design of the UI. When they moved the speedometer they removed most of the nice UI elements.
Well in that case I demand from Ford that those of us who use ADAS where the speedo is not centered be upgraded to a new experience that gives us the same nice UI elements that the non-ADAS users have enjoyed up until 6.8! And of course it should be restored for the non-ADAS users as well.

I would wholeheartedly support that! I use ADAS when on the highway, but when I'm not I turn them off so I can get the nicer UI. Unfortunately 6.8.0 ruined that.

This is what it used to look like in unbridled.

Great. An OTA to ensure that the 12V SoC is high enough so that OTAs can be applied. What happens when the 12V SoC is too low to apply this OTA? Will it be like strapping a piece of peanut butter toast to the back of a cat and then dropping the cat off of a table (cats always land on their feet, peanut butter toast always lands peanut butter-side down)? ??
My mind had been blown again.
First the ‘can’t be new AND improved’. Now this.

Will this update happen on a '23 ?
Yes...most '23s I check have both a BCM and GFM in their list of available software in FDRS so I would assume this OTA will (eventually) go out to those cars as well.

Ok so here's what I've noticed so far after getting this update.

Last night my 12V reported at 42% SOC (according to Ford site), and my HV was at 64%. This morning the HV dropped to 63% while the 12V is reported at 88% (according to Ford site).
So it looks like now it's using HV battery to charge 12V even when the car is off.
Before this update, the 12V only got charged when ignition is on, or car is plugged into charger and HV battery is charging.

It always did, but only when the LVB SOC fell to 40%. So this doesn't sound any different. I'm hoping that threshold has been raised to a higher SOC.

Mine never did that. I've seen low 30% in the mornings after it sat for a few days in the driveway.

It waits some amount of time at 40% before transferring energy, but it transfers energy immediately at 30%. If yours wasn't doing that, then something wasn't working right.

I've seen the 12v at low 30% many times and even a few times in the mid to upper 20% range, never once did it use HV to charge the 12V while car is powered off and locked. This is first time I've seen it use HV to charge the 12v while car is parked and locked. (Work from home so don't drive it that often. Sometimes it stays parked in the driveway for a couple weeks at a time, also paak is constantly connected since it's within range so it drains 12v pretty quickly thus I make habit of checking ford site daily for 12v level and everytime before I start the car).

Then yours hasn't been working as designed. Maybe you were missing an old software update or something.

I'm missing a lot of software updates. Even though the car is in EA, it hasn't gotten any # update since 6.4.0 (in January 2024). Haven't gotten timely OTA since September of 2023 when 6.1.0 came through.

Do you remember if you had 21P22 updates done? That might have been the last time the BCM was updated (long time ago, or possibly never).

Recharge from HV behavior in the 30-40% range was part of the previous strategy. Would appreciate data on the lowest values you see after the update.

I don't know if 21P22 was done. I bought the car used last year.

Did you get this update? If so, you're on schedule. The numbered updates will return eventually. Probably. In the meantime, some of these updates incorporate things that were in the older numbered updates that were put on ice – such as remote frunk release for 2021 job 1 cars via the door pad code.
