The warranty is 8 years but the design life is probably more like 15-20 years and between 1200-1500 cycles (equivalent of 0->100% charges). If you figure 230 miles per cycle and 1200 cycles, it’s pushing 300k miles. I’d guess more like 500k miles before the battery is at 70%.Absolutely insane! So basically battery degradation shouldn’t be a worry for us then… Appreciate your input man. Really good info. It’s good to know because I’ve seen articles saying 3-5 years for battery life and I was like no way…
Basically, your car’s interior paneling, seats, wheel bearings, suspension components, etc will have all worn out before your battery ever hits 70%.
