Key Fob Battery Life

How long does the battery in Mach-E's last? The last couple of days, the car has failed to unlock as I approached it. Sometimes the lights come on. Other times they don't.
I have checked the manual. Have not found anything about losing the auto unlock feature. No mention of something that allows you to turn off the feature or turn it on.
Could the problem be that the battery is too low to trigger the unlock, even though it still triggers the lights coming on as I approach the car? I can manually unlock the car with the fob. Also, PAAK works, triggering the lights and unlocking the car.
The manual does state the car will display a low battery message if the fob has a low charge. I have not seen this message.

I had to replace the batteries at around the 6-month mark, the current set has lasted about 22 months now. In theory, the car should tell you when the fob battery is low iirc.

I have received that screen message on other Fords so I would expect it on this one too. I wonder about variable "freshness" of the factory-installed fob batteries...

I got the remote battery low thing in the my ipc when I was using PAAK....

Got the remote battery low alert in the car after 34 months of ownership (build was in March 2022). Just replaced it with the recommended battery type. Guess these remote batteries don't last as long as my circa 2010 ice remotes, given all the additional remote services.

Like others, I got a notice of low battery. Mine came at about 20 months and 24,000 miles.
