Three times in the last 2 months and 2 times in the last week while I have been driving, the motors on my Mach e GT have gone dead for 1-2 seconds while I was driving at ~40 mph with 100-150 miles left on the battery. Ther car loses power and then the motors come back on just as fast as they dropped off. I am concerned that this could happen when I am making a left turn across traffic or at other times when loss of power could be dangerous. I am also concerned that the duration of the power loss may increase. I have it at may dealer sitting. They tell me that if I wait for an appointment, the earliest one is mid July, so I just dropped it off and they will try to get to it in the next 2-3 weeks.

Has anyone else seen this major safety problem and if so, what was the problem?

Are you sure it wasn’t the traction control kicking in due to wheel spin? That will cut your power for a brief moment.

I don't see how this could be the case, I was on dry pavement driving straight ahead at 35-40 mph.

Given that, I would take it to the dealer.

It is at the dealer now, but based on my previous experience they will find nothing and tell me too bad! If they don't find an OPBD2 code, to them there is nothing wrong. I hope I am wrong, because I do not plan on driving this $70K piece of tin unless it is safe.

Were you using cruise control? Could it have been a glitch with speed limit database/speed sign recognition?
The cruise control was off, I was in traffic.

Just wondering what drive mode you were in when this happened?

Unbridled can feel like that if your not used to it.
If you lift up on the accelerator even a little it has faster declaratio, and is different than the other modes that just keep rolling. Its not the same as single peddle but its different. 2022 GT owner, I run mine in unbridled except in the winter/icy then it causes a little instability.

I always drive the car in the Engage mode. At the time you incidences occurred I was in single peddle driving. Independ to mode or one or two peddle mode, the motors should not lose power for 1-2 seconds. For me, my concern is that if it can lose power for 1-2 seconds, I assume it could lose power for longer than 1-2 seconds and I am not sure what would happen at 60 mph if all of the motors lose power.
