Audio has started cutting out for up to 10 or 15 seconds (eternity) randomly, for all audio sources. FM, SXM and CarPlay. There’s no static or anything, just silence. I haven’t noticed any patterns around speed, or going over a bump or something. Started recently, wanted to see if anyone else has this issue.

Replies got deleted, please re-post if you have any suggestions.

Update:
Appt on Wed for this and recall software update.
Still cutting out. Saw a couple of error messages from Sirius XM. “Hardware error” one time and “audio failure” another time. Most of the time no messages. When it comes back, starts at about half volume, then comes back full.

Tried restarting APM. (Hold down volume and skip forward buttons on steering wheel). Did not fix.

Any updates to this? My new Mach-e just started having this issue, regardless of audio source

I have the same problem. 2025 MME GT

No error messages. It comes back immediately if I hit the station tile on the radio app. Otherwise it takes about 10 or 15 seconds. Sometimes it reports setting itself to FM channel 76, and then it doesn’t recover. It’s almost like whatever auto tuning it’s doing just runs away to low frequencies before some watchdog routine notices and puts it back.

When it puts itself back, the channel icon flickers like it’s going between unselected (channel frequency centered) and back to selected again (channel frequency below little bouncing mixer levels icon).

For what it’s worth, it only ever happens to me when I play 88.5, the lowest channel I tend to listen to. The signal for the station comes through clearly otherwise. Never saw it happen when I tune to 88.9.

Yeah, I’m sitting here in my car watching it for far too long. :)

Update: still happening, less frequently though. Asked dealer to look at it ehen I had car in for service. They didn’t have an answer, said they would check with Ford engineering and let me know what they said. Never heard back.

Problem is getting worse for me lately. Now it’s affecting SXM stations. Same symptoms: four or five faint clicks and then silence. Now it doesn’t even recover quickly when I reselect the station.
