Didn't see this anywhere else. Past few weeks the app (android) no longer can tell when my car is charging. Really annoying because it finally was giving me notifications again. I was testing out the data privacy settings after all that recent news but from what I can tell everything needed should be active. Can still remote start/unlock without issue.

Wanted to check if anyone else has seen this before I just go reset the app (as is standard sadly)

The beta app actually tells you what is needed if you turn it off(I thought my stuff was broken too). I can't remember exactly which one it is, but it's connectivity setting that one that mentions acceleration.

Oddly. That usually means you switched off the “share Driving Data” option. I want that off so I just use the app for the charging company to monitor progress.

Thanks, felt like I turned everything back on but will have to double check things on my next drive

I had the exact same issue.... Wanted to limit the data shared with ford to the bare min...but I found the info about the feature ironic AF... I wonder how Ford squares that last statement...?

I still disabled sharing driving data ... It makes no sense to tie it to preferred charging / departure time in the app ... Rather than giving Ford an arbitrary amount of data, I'd rather just walk out to my car and adjust those settings if needed.

I’m pretty sure that shared driving data is only used for some legacy optimized charging route stuff. I dont believe it has any impact on the app displaying charging information… that would be bizarre.

Did toggling it on work?

Yes re-enabling "Share driving data" returned both the preferred charging and the preferred departure screens in the app... I disabled it again...and now my app look like this

It does. Ford must categorize the charging data as driving data instead of vehicle data.
