These springs are working great on my GTPE and I love the lowered look.

I drove down to Mark's place on Monday he generously helped me and a friend install the springs and sway bars. I have had a couple days to try them out and I am really enjoying them. Most of the roads in my area are not well-maintained and tend to be moderately rough. There's also some intense industrial railroad crossings I cross every day on my way into work.

Because of that I would typically use Whisper/Engage to mitigate some of the roughness even though that resulted in more bouncy or rocking motion (which was nothing compared to my '21 Premium) and I would only use Unbridle on the better roads. However, the new springs have taken the edge off of the roughness. They don't mitigate it completely (nor do I want that), but the imperfections and potholes and uneven railroad crossings aren't quite as jarring, like the sharp edges of force were rounded out a bit. I still feel the roughness, it's just not as intense. What this does it let me comfortably use Unbridle on all roads resulting in a more enjoyable ride quality overall.

I have not noticed any problems so far, I am just being cautious around parking curbs but it I think I'd still clear most fine. Mark modified the rear bump stops and that with the unmodified fronts seems to be working perfectly.

Next up is new tires!

The ride height on your car Erich looks perfect, like how it should have come from the factory. Has anyone commented on this to you? With your lowered GTPE, have you had any issues pulling up to parking bumper stops or passengers opening their doors against high curbs?

Eric was up last weekend and we did some hiking in Yosemite. Thought I would post this photo since both of our cars have the Eibach GT Pro-Kit lowering springs. Mine is a GTPE, Eric’s is a Premium. While my car may look lower, both cars are exactly the same height (29") from ground to the bottom edge of the center of the rear fender trim. Eric's looks taller because of his black fender trim.

Those wheels look sharp on @Rickless ’s car. Glad they’re getting use. If I had a front camera, I would be all over these springs. Too bad Ford was so short-sighted in making me choose between what I needed vs. what I wanted. ??

The door issue is also a concern to me since I have a semi-regular passenger who doesn’t give a flip and I have already had to repair the door once. ??

Thanks to YOU, those wheels do look sharp on his car. ? I told Eric (and also Erich) those are my favorite wheels that Ford has ever made. Too bad they aren't 9" otherwise I would have kept mine.

Yeah, I probably would have kept them too, but can’t put the tires I wanted on them at 8”. ?‍♂?

We don't have many high curbs but I do worry about the kids opening their doors forgetting to be careful.

Exactly the same reason here. Both of us don't like to run tires any narrower than 275's on this car. ?

Great photos of your GTPE Erich! They really show of the lowered ride height. We know from lifting the car (Eric's Premium) his range went down around 5% (don't remember exactly) but have you noticed any difference in range, maybe an increase?

Thanks Joe I agree, it looks just right. I posted a photo on Reddit and it got a lot of positive feedback there. In person people have said the same thing: not too low but looks perfect.

No issues with curbs yet. I’m being cautious at first but I don’t think it will be too much of an issue. May cause a problem if I’m trying to creep up close to a Supercharger once I get my adapter?

The front lip has 7” clearance at the front edge and maybe 6.75” clearance slightly behind the front as it curves down.

All the curbs around my work were 6-6.5” so it should still clear most but I would be careful. I generally don’t pull all the way up anyway.

I haven’t noticed any difference yet but I’ve had work every day this week and haven’t had a chance to take a longer trip other than the drive back from your place.

I would agree though it will probably be slightly better. I will come back and update this thread if I notice a change. In general I don’t really pay attention to range though so I may not notice it if it’s small.

Thanks Erich. I want to do these Eibach springs on my Premium but also have a friend at work with a GTPE so was discussing this with him.

I also don't care the least bit about range. I have no idea what the efficiency is of my car but I only asked as others have asked me of the cars that I've lowered if anyone has noticed.

I will have to make a drive down to SF and back to test it out before I get new tires. Typically I just barely can’t make it there and back if I leave the house at 100% and I need to fast charge 5-10 minutes in Vacaville or Sacramento. If I can now then that would be noticeable and nice I suppose.

The road in front of my office is “teh suxxorz” in game parlance. It’s in an unincorporated part of Redwood City with some railroad tracks that almost never see use (and therefore are not well-maintained). For me, Unbridled is just fine with the stock springs. I do have ride height envy, but practicality tells me to keep the car at the height it’s currently set to. ?‍♂?

Like Mark, I don’t much care about range, but I am always curious as to the effects of changes. Looking forward to hearing about your results. ??
