Pretty sure those are listed as "confirmed do not fit" on the GTPE wheel thread. But I couldn't find the specific post confirming.

https://www.macheforum.com/site/thr...rformance-edition-19-wheel-rim-fitment.23861/
It was other Rotiform wheels like the LAS-R because the valve stem hits the caliper. It's possible the BUC-M won't fit though but that's what returns are for. If that happens I do have those 19" aero wheels

I originally wanted a set of fifteen52 R43 but the valve stem would hit the caliper on the GTPE

Thanks for the tip though.

I attempted my first GTPE rims mould yesterday and it was...messy. It was real close, but I was just shy of how much of the mixture I needed. I've got a new bag of power mix coming this weekend and I'll give it another go. I know what to do this time for sure.

I'm confused as to what "intestinal fortitude" is, and I'm somewhat afraid to ask. I'm just gonna keep going along, hopefully remaining blissfully oblivious about whatever just happened.

It'd probably be easier for me to just measure and model it on a computer, but I kinda want to do this in a more old-school way cause I miss when I had the strength to tear cars down alone. The preference varies based on if my body is gonna function on any given day or fail me and require medication to continue existing. It's a roll of the dice these days. Yay, american healthcare!

Dero, here are my thoughts in response to your OP.
  1. Do y'all think making Tesla style aero-covers for my GTPE would help?
    1. Yes, it will. The GTPE wheels can definitely have better aero.
  2. Is there a different style aero-cover y'all think would be better, even a brand new one I'd be happy to prototype for us? (I'm *really* bored lately).
    1. Whatever you do, you have to allow for some airflow to cool the brakes. From what I have read, that is one of the big challenges designing aerodynamic wheels. Air is used to cool the brakes, and when you block the air, they overheat. It is true the brakes may be rarely used, but when used heavily, cooling airflow is critical.
  3. Any opinions or predictions on benefits or losses? I'll happily report back with results if y'all are interested.
    1. At 80 mph, I think you may see a 10% benefit. I doubt it will be more, and it will likely be less. Probably closer to 5%.

The cool thing is you can print graphics for them. As the op mentioned he wants to build, those are removable. I am having a custom design made with the Mach E blue lightning logo.

Someone copied the Rotiform design and made that style covers for the OEM Tesla wheels.

Agreed with Mike on ventilation. Both of the examples I chose had built in ventilation. ??
