I'm tired of googling and YouTubing... Can anyone tell me in clear, plain English how to access this menu? I press the volume down button and the seek down for 8 seconds...and it looks like it accessing it... but then it just goes right back to the Home Screen. Someone, anyone... please help to access this menu in simple steps. Thanks!

If you’re talking about “Bezel Diagnostics”
  1. Start on FM radio screen
  2. Hold volume - and back buttons on the wheel for about 5-10 seconds until the icon shows up on the display
  3. Release buttons and wait for it to finish loading.
  4. Done.

If the above doesn’t work, do a SYNC reboot first. Hold vol - and forward seek buttons.

Thank you for this, but before I go and completely mess up the setting., is there anything in there that is actually useful?

It's just a diagnostics menu. It will provide some software info as well as some options to test a few things.

The software versions are about the only useful thing on there, and you can get that from the "General" options under SYNC version anyways. Curious what everyone else has though.

I can't imagine why 99.9% of owners would ever need to see it.

Not sure what an end user could use this for. Unless remotely assisting support engineers on the phone, none of this stuff should matter. It’s right to be hidden.

I was hoping it would have the same feature option as it does in the Powerboost.
You can temporarily or permanently enable the array of connectivity icons on the top bar of Sync4.

Now, where's the "stats for nerds" screen?
Look closely......
I found an easter-egg/bug in Sync4 that triggers under a very specific condition.

1. Truck is configured to use the Wi-Fi in the RV (when available, of course)
2. I arrive home and come within range for the truck to connect to the AP of the Asus WRT router, BUT the gateway is down on that Asus router.

If that condition is met, then somewhere between the chicken coop and the RV(~200'), Sync4 launches a browser and prompts for log in credentials for the Asus router!

It's touchscreen capable and I can navigate the router's administration interface.

I would LOVE to find a hack that allowed the user to launch this browser in Sync4.

I know it seems silly since I usually have a couple of smartphones and at least one Surface in the truck at all times. But like I said earlier, power to the nerds!

Well first mistake was someone telling the OP it’s a “secret menu” so they’re poking around like it’s gonna unlock something.
Get over to the DIY FDRS thread if you want to do things. Diagnostics menu is just info.

I would be equally excited about finding this seemingly useless browser. I knew a browser existed in Sync 4 since it appears they use it for the Public Charger app (and possibly more). Why create an app with a UI when you can just point to a URL. I'm sure there's a raft of legal reasons they won't add a simple "browser" app, but good to know you can get to it if you're desperate enough lol.
