I agree. Also there could be a rolling resistance difference between the tires that adds to the range loss. Wider does not always mean less range. On my car, the 255s I put on are more efficient than the 245 OEM tires I replaced.Range will definitely be impacted.
When we replaced our PHEV with non LRR, non OEM tires and being RFT - the range loss was about 10%.
