Overnight shipping just means the shipping part, not the product availability part. Just shaves a couple of days off the shipping after the product is available at your place in line.

If they quoted 16 business days, that was almost exactly on time. Impressive.

Yep, I just wanted to be sure it got to me as soon as it left them and didn’t take some multi-day journey to cross the border. $15 very reasonable for overnight shipping from Canada.

As you point out, they were very close to their shipping estimate.

I called them and was quoted days - 16 business days. I ordered on April 30, paid for overnight shipping, and received it May 23. So that's 24 days, to be precise.

My A2Z took exactly 22 days with overnight express shipping paid.

My Ford adapter was delayed and I spent the money on a A2Z adapter never happier. I have used twice and more road trips planed with Tesla superchargers as primary charging stops.

While I'm sure that contributed too, the adapter delays were happening well before the layoffs. Seems like Ford only got one batch from Tesla so far, that probably numbered <500. Other than some mistake in the 8000's, the highest US order number I saw getting one was around 200. That was April 5. The Tesla layoffs were April 30.

Since the adapters shipped to customers from Dearborn, that means Tesla ships them in bulk to Ford first. Figure some weeks for that and for Ford to process them for customer shipment, meaning they probably got that batch from Tesla in March. And nothing since. Similar story for Rivian, just a few weeks behind us.

No doubt the layoffs have piled on, but Tesla had serious problems providing adapters well before the layoffs.

I was in the upper 700s and got mine. Pretty sure they shipped the first 1000

Im keeping my options open on that one but after the one tread yesterday I may go with ImNotAsAngryAsThatGuyMan.....but I DO understand his anger as I was treated the same way on one of MY threads ....and by the same members.

Still spring according to GM, the author assumed the date has slipped when GM says it hasn’t, she confuses GM adapter availability with Supercharger access which GM still says is spring.

I am of the belief that is article is poorly written, contains attribution errors, after all Volvo never even commented, and the Polestar spokesperson merely confirms the mid-2024 date that Polestar have always used.

I stand by my assertion there is no news here, even if everyone here believes a delay is likely in the cards.

Agree, there is no news there. I don't have much respect for pcmag either.

Interesting. That's the first number I've heard of that high (minus some 8000's) when I read that long thread. Saw a number of them under 200 though.

Not entirely sure there weren't additional out-of-order "mistakes" beyond that block in the 8000's too.

I'm in the 900s (ordered March 6) and told my Ford/Tesla adapter will ship in September. I had a road trip last week to Virginia and the fastest route was through West Virginia which has exactly ONE DC fast charger in the state. One. So I was going to have to basically drive 2 hours out of my way to be able to make it. So I bought the A2Z Adapter. Amazing. So worth it. My experience was perfect--It arrived when they said, their customer service is exceptional--knowledgeable and caring. The adapter is very well made and worked well. Having access to Superchargers changed my world. There is literally no range anxiety anymore. Coming back I had to take the dreaded Pennsylvania turnpike where all CCS1 drivers have to stop at the same 2 chargers and there's ALWAYS a big wait. Not anymore! Sailed past. It paid for itself already in my book.

Ford’s involvement in the official adapter is limited to shipping them. Everything else is Tesla. Any delays are due to manufacturing issues in Buffalo or because FedEx pilots go on strike.

So glad we got our A2Z adapter a couple weeks ago in advance of an upcoming road trip down to San Diego.
