Maybe I just have fat fingers, but I cannot get this function to work consistently. At least half the time I get the orange canceled by driver message. Has anyone figured out the trick? Am I holding too long? Not long enough? I tend to push the stalk up or down just as I would for a 3-blink lane change. I am careful not to bump the wheel while doing so. If I lock the stalk it always works, but that does not seem like it should be necessary.

I just give it a light tap up or down and it works great for me.

Quick tap of the blinker does it for me. Try fully turned on -that also works, you just have to cancel the turn signal when you get to the next lane.

Have a quick question: does that work on your ‘22 Premium?
I was told TODAY by a dealer that lane change does not work on ‘22s, only 23 and later. That was after he supposedly updated BC to a latest version and I complained that lane change is not there, so it cannot be

Related rant:
I don’t understand why this car’s blinker stalk locks up and down at all.

Who told you? The Dealership technician? The service advisor? Neither of them know.

This ^^^^

I started out trying to get the quick tap to work, and could do it maybe half the time. But I switched to full turn signal on and now 100% success, just click it off when you get there.
The car seems to “watch” traffic for a little bit, so the quick method may not be long enough.

I'll keep practicing! Just did my first long drive and have the return trip ahead so I'll keep working on taps.

Got to say that updated Bluecruise is amazing in how long it stays engaged and really makes a road trip a much less taxing experience, even if I occasionally felt like a spectator in the driver's seat.

Have you noticed that it slides over to hug the lane markers opposite when a big rig truck or trailer vehicle when it comes next to you ?

Also loving the non ping pong effect on long drives.

Just returned from a 500 mile road trip thru Central California and worked 90% of the time.

Lane change in progress - just tapped lightly on the turn signal stalk (like I was doing a 3 flash lane change)

If you look closely at the center display, you can see a difference when it's decided to enable hug mode. The car will be shown slightly off to one side, just like what it's actually doing. Very nice!

My problem at this point is that apparently nobody knows.
I spoke with EV support @Ford Motor Company, they told me to talk to the dealer.
I left the car 2x at the dealership with a request to update the BC, and as far as I can tell I am still at 1.0. Every time a different explanation
