I agree, but that's IF they're getting sufficient adapter supply from tesla. We'll see soon enough!

I ordered mine the evening of March 1 and got number 28,797. Just checked with Ford and they say I'm still good to go for August 2024. I don't know if that is current or just lethargy. TBH, I'd like to get it then but it really doesn't matter as I am not planning any trips in the near future so all you kids getting it now are just beta testers for me. Thanx.

It's really anybody's guess what's going on at Tesla with production of these adapters. Heck, we're not even sure if they're really making them at their Buffalo Supercharger facility, or another facility, or are contracting them out to some 3rd party in China or Vietnam.

Sounds like this 2nd batch they delivered to Ford was maybe around 2500. That's still a small fraction of the 10's of thousand ordered by Ford customers in just the first 3 days. The production rate would have to skyrocket to even get within a month of that.

But they also knew they have to produce 100's of thousands this year to meet their promises to multiple manufacturers. Maybe they did (finally) ramp production way up? Or maybe they didn't? Tesla is so tight-lipped about everything that we're really just throwing darts with guesses now.

It's likely you bought an adapter that won't work for Superchargers. The only adapters that were on Amazon months ago only work for Level 2.
