I often find it funny how the gas lineup like sheep topping off the gas tank $65-$150 I don’t tease them, but I roll up my wonders and laugh at them

Even say what about when the electricity goes out I informed them if the electricity goes out there’s no pumping gas and we can stay on the freeway. Enjoy air conditioning while they idle those gas pumps to oblivious until they stop.

I hate to say it, but I have seen much longer queues at EV charging stations than I have seen at gas stations since the gas crisis in the 1970s. Even on the busiest days, the longest lines at Costco have moved faster than a Tesla getting charged at a Supercharger ahead of me. To me owning an EV is a lesson in patience and humility.

Could be, but they’re not spending eight bucks to top off their gas cans

There is a dcfc in my area that has a price of $.71/kwh. At that price my previous ICE vehicle would be cheaper to drive. I've noticed that the dcfc prices are going up, fortunately I do most of my charging at home.

Waiting 10-20 minutes for someone else’s charge time, then add YOUR charge time makes this EV process VERY inefficient and inconvenient.
Other than Costco lines, the quantity of pumps to ICE vehicles and speed to refuel is still advantage gas-burner.
Must charge at home overnight to give us the win. ??

and this in a nutshell is why everyone on this forum can't wait for their adapters. The greed from EA and the other places will kill them off before Tesla has the opportunity .
I recently charged at EA across the parking lot was a Tesla charger . I paid $.64 while across the lot the Tesla people were complaining about their "peak price" of $.39 .

No but they paid $10,000 to $20,000 (or more) less for their cars and can drive up to 400 miles without refueling! Also perhaps they have no access to cheap L2 charging so DCFC charging is a wash or more expensive. I know I will remain a dual user for the rest of my life. Mostly use my Mach but their are just times where my Expedition works best - especially when it is -20F or colder!

Are you sure it is greed? Since no charge network is making money, is it really greed? Does tesla make money off dcfc? Who knows, it is not broken out in their filings. Just like all prices they are not usually just some random number someone throws out there.

Why do you say Tesla doesn't have access to L2 charging? They have had an adapter for that for years.

Well IMO it is . Let me explain. Both chargers in my example were built in the same year on the same site . What ever one experienced as far as higher "costs" to them should have been the same for the other . It's basically a self serve kiosk that shouldn't be influenced by minimum wage hikes or fuel charges like pretty much everything else . There's no bird flu to increase kWh costs like yer favorite sandwich at KFC or eggs at the grocery store. They were built before covid and before "supply chain issues"and were built on the governments dime.
What one is paying for kWh to the electric company should be the same for the other and yet Tesla is charging $.39 or less on their side of the lot and EA is charging $.64 on theirs.
In their 2023 EPA report EA claims that there were more charging sessions per week in 2022 than there was for the entirety of 2020. When I got my first Mach the EA price was $.38 per kWh .How can you charge less when you have less usage/customers than when you have more ? They couldn't have been losing +/- $.30 on every kWh back then and still be around today .
To me the only explanation left is that they've been increasing the profit margin at our expense...in other words ...GREED
BTW Tesla is projected to make $7.6 Billion off fast charging by the end of the decade....all while charging less per charge .

Tesla used to give free charging so they lost money on charging.. BTW tesla is PROJECTED to make 7.6 billion in the next 10 years. They were PROJECTRD to maKe a larger profit this year, they were also PROJECTED to sell more cars.

At the end of 2023, every fast-charging cord in the country was plugged in for an average of five hours a day. This recent surge in charger utilization represents an encouraging shift: Many public EV charging stations are seeing profits for the FIRST time.

There is more than Cost of electricity. Cost for equipment and instalation may or may not be the same. People for planning, instalation, maintaince and monitoring, more than likely differant. Lease for land may not be the same, even cost of electricity may not be same. Depends how it is set up with power co. Govt subsidies may not be same. utilization is differant. Again may not be greed. And if so and people stop using EA they will be forced to lower price or go out of business. There is more to pricing something than greed. Seldom is pricing based on greed. Why does shell charge more than the standard station across street? Why are prices differant at one grocery store from the next? Why are cars differant prices? Why are you paid differant than your co worker? Why are level 2 chargers differant prices? Why is electricity differant prices in same neighborhood? Why do some business pay less for electricity? Just throwing out it is geed is false. How can you be greedy if you are losing money? Are you greedy cause you want a raise?

Gassers can go 400 miles but then they have to pump $125 out of the pocket. How is that cheap? If you educate yourself, you can get electricity to charge your vehicle for nearly free. I charge my Mustang Mee was performance for nothing on base and when I accelerate from the light, I leave the gassers gassing. I see them turn off to avoid disgrace.

And that’s on whisper mode all that noise. The cops get the gasser because they can’t slow down their tanks. Their gas tank is steadily going down.
