I know where departure time is. I thought there used to be an option to set precondition the cabin whether you were plugged in or not. Isn't the whole point of departure time to have the car condition the cabin at whatever temperature you want before you get in it?

It seems that the current behavior is that you can only do it while the car is plugged in... Unless I'm mistaken?

Yeah I guess it's not showing up for you? Maybe quit the app and reboot your phone? I'm using v5.0.2 on iOS. Also make sure your sharing settings are turned on in the car (including share driving data).

Thanks for confirming. I'm using a Google Pixel phone on Android 14.

It's a bit late to check my car outside so I tried clearing my cache, deleting my storage, uninstalling and reinstalling the Ford Pass app from inside. Unfortunately, none of those options fixed my issue.

Fingers crossed that some sharing of data setting is turned off but I don't think I've ever bothered touching those settings...

I checked my car this morning and confirmed that both my Pixel and Samsung phone was missing the option. On my iPhone it was there.

We're on 5.02. Is this a low priority fix on the android team for Ford Pass? If this was missed, would this now qualify me entry to Ford early access? ?

So do you have the option to precondition your cabin while unplugged with your Samsung? I thought maybe it was a bug with the Android app.

The car does what I expected on Sunday mornings, ever since I set that up. I don't think it's any different than me using the app to manually launch climate? It's simply scheduled.
And I don't think it has to be plugged in. But I will check when I get back to Texas.

It seems pretty well understood at this point that the android app is a different beast than iOS. iOS is clearly much higher quality and I’ve encountered very few bugs. Android seems to be a mess.
