Just FYI, this was echo'ed off by beta testers as well and isn't unheard in the slightest. Just keep repeating it.

There's a book that could be written around the image situation, and things I simply can't talk about. Give it time though. This is the first pass.

For a while, there was a garage -> home screen transition that started locking some of this into place. Note -- that's gone from the beta.

I liked the previous app home page where you could make the car smaller so you didn't have to scroll down to get to the bottom of the page. Now I have to scroll to access location and settings.

The expand/collapse feature was (IMO) also a waste of space (and had its own issues). There are definitely better ways to have a simplified home screen while providing some visual aesthetic and value.

Although I hate to say this, Tesla did it ?.

There’s just some technical scale hurdles that have to be overcome to get there.

The first few passes won’t be perfect (look at the Lucid app), but should incrementally improve over time.

New here, first post regarding the phone app (for Android). This has probably been posted before but a couple of comments fwiw:
I had the earlier app but now have revised one. I miss the "maps" tab, cant plan a trip indoors and transfer to car. Also, would be nice if there was an option to only partially open the windows ala Tesla "vent" choice. I don't like having all four windows fully open when in a public space. I live in an area with high daytime temps and it gets hot in the car quickly.
As a previous Tesla owner (M3), as much as I hated that car, Ford could take a page or two out of their book re. app features.
If I've missed something, or there's a workaround regarding these two app features I'm happy to learn (I know I can use Waze or Gmaps but why delete a perfectly functional feature?)

I apologize if this has been asked already. Is there a way to get all of the chargers to show up in public chargers? I find a lot of chargers missing that were there before the update. In particular the free and cheap L2 chargers around town. I now have FordPass 5.0.1.

Is anyone else seeing the new Ford Pass eating their phone battery much more significantly than the older version? Killing the app and restarting it, rebooting the phone have not addressed this. iPhone 14 Pro Max. My battery is being chewed down in about 4 hours. Killing the app and the battery life is the same as before.

Curious, but are you seeing FordPass being reported under your phone settings as eating up battery? Screenshot?

I actually reported this battery issue through the beta feedback when I noticed it last week. FP is taking around 10% battery in background activity lately.

I think there might be something here that'll probably be optimized in an update. Curious, but are you in close proximity to your vehicle the majority of the time? I'm slightly curious how often FordPass is being woke up by being within BLE proximity for Paak.

Yeah I live in a townhouse with a relatively small footprint so I’m probably worst case for background activity. My office is on the opposite end of the house but my living room is right next to the garage.

+1 on the removal of charge to 100%. Why @Ford Motor Company would remove a use case as necessary for electric cars as charge to 100 for a road trip is beyond me.

All you have to do is drag the slider up to 100%, right? I agree it could be easier, but the functionality is still there.

The ford pass has an V5 and really modern and smooth. Lot of promise.

No I agree with ToOldForThis, the trip planner on the Ford Pass phone app was very useful. I don't like the redesign without it. As many have said in this forum, it gets old taking a step back to get one forward.

Hey we have two Mustangs, my wife drives a convertible ice. We go to the gym in the morning, I always leave the fob in the car and use the app to lock and unlock. Imagine my surprise to have the new app when we’re leaving. It did work. The Mache is mainly a Summer car.
I was very disappointed that Ford dropped the trip planner. I don’t think I should have to load work around apps for something that was available 3 years ago when I paid too much for the car. If there is a step forward I haven’t found it.
