There is always this as a last resort in an emergency. You'll never be trapped.Rear door inside latch incident: Daughter #1 drove the Mach E for the first time. Next day I drove the car with Daughter #2 in rear seat. As we exited the car Daughter #2 said the rear latch would not open the door. No problem, we opened the door from the outside. I went back to the car to check out latch operation and entered rear seat and closed the doors. Shit, I just locked myself in the rear seat and cannot get out. I tried unlocking with Ford Pass, nada. Tried lowering windows with Ford Pass, nada. So my choice was to crawl to the front seat, or open the rear hatch with fp. I exited via the rear hatch.
OK, time to read the owners manual. The manual showed the location of the child lock button on the left door and it was on. I also discovered I had not enabled the window open option with fp. I had never used the child lock and it was ON.
