Hey @markboris

Do you think this setup will fit without rubbing?

I don’t think he can provide meaningful information without the wheel widths. I wouldn’t even attempt to. ?‍♂?

Same as what he has. 8.5 to 9 up front. And 10 in the rear.

Ali, your front tires will fit no problem. The rear tires on the other hand will be too close to the upper rear shock mount and will most likely rub. It will be extremely close and will depend on the tire you get and the shape of the sidewall (flat or rounded) and your camber adjustment. A flat sidewall with the minimum camber might fit but personally, I would not go that route. If you want those staggered sizes, I would make sure the offset in the rear is no more than +47. I've had 295/35 and 295/40 in the rear on 10" and 10.5" wheels both with +47 offset and there is only about 2 credit cards worth of space before it would hit the rear upper shock mount and this is with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S that have a fairly flat sidewall and -1.8 camber. When I ran 315/35 with same tires, 10.5" wheel and +47 offset, I had to mill down the rear upper shock mount 1/4" in order for them to fit. I didn't have to if I was ok with poke but I'm not. I like all my tire sidewalls to be flush or set back from the fender molding.

Why would you run 20" up front ad 21" in the rear? It is going to look weird with the front tires have a slightly greater than 1/2" taller sidewall not to mention it is also 1/4" taller than the rear. If you do want to run that 295/35/21 in the rear, I would get 255/45's up front as the diameter would be virtually the same as the rear and the sidewalk only 1/4" taller. Are you looking at wheels that only come in specific sizes?

Thanks a bunch for all the info. That’s very helpful.
I was just playing around with different sizes to find one that has the same height as the 245/45-20s. The Michelin Pilot Sport only comes in 30, 35, and 45 in 295-20.
I don’t know if I can calibrate the speedo on this car.

My setup that recently went to another member was 265/40/20 F, 295/35/20 R (Michelin Pilot Sport 4S). While this is shorter in height than OEM, they worked out very well. I normally have gone taller in height but after going shorter, I enjoyed the slightly narrower sidewall for a bit better steering feel and handling. You would not need to calibrate the speedo because we are only talking about a 1 mph difference. If you wanted to, you can adjust the speedo in FORScan that little bit.

I just realized that I never came back to this thread and mentioned this setup nor posted photos so here are some with the 265/40/20 F, 295/35/20 R. You have to remember, my car is lowered about one inch from stock GT height so about 1 1/2" from a non-GT height.

Just after I got them installed in March:

Those look so sharp. I think I’m going with those wheels in bronze.
I messaged Chris about some pictures, but he hasn’t been on the forum for a while.
I’m curious what the tires look like from this angle.

Yes Chris is not on the forum very much.

While I don't have that exact angle on any of my rear 295 setups, here are some from the rear when I had various 295's.

My first set on my premium, Michelin Latitude Sport 3 295/40/20:

Here they are again next to my friends Premium that has 225/55/19's:

These are Michelin Pilot Sport 4 SUV 295/40/20:

These are Pirelli Scorpion Zero All Season Plus 295/40/20:

This is one of the last shots I took when I had the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S 295/35/20's on:

Thanks. These 2 pictures shows what I wanted to see.
Even with your negative camber the edge of the tire is a little past the fender lip.
I really want to make it look as stock as possible.
I find these Urus pictures sexy. These are 325s

Ali, none of my setups have sidewalls past the fender lip. They may look like it in some of the photos because of camera angles or whatever but I put straightedges on each setup on each tire to make sure they are setback a bit or close to flush which is how I like it. I may have a photo somewhere showing this with a straightedge and look for it. I’ve noticed on cars that if your tires are inset about 1/4”-3/8” then they look flush when taking photos but if they are actually flush, they look like they are poking out a bit.

AliRafiee, I found the photo with the straightedge for that setup.

Here is the setup you thought the rear tire was past the lip:

Here is a straightedge where the bottom of it is against the tire sidewall on the ground and the top is against the fender lip (molding). You can see there is about a credit card worth of space that the tire is slightly inset.

I see what you mean. Let’s go back to 285.
If I do 285/40-20 ET 52, the inside will be the same distance from the suspension as the 295, but stick out 10mm less.

Ali, my next reply to you was going to be about a 255/45/20 F, 285/40/20 R setup because it has always been my favorite. There is a bit more room for everything and the rear tires still have a meaty look. The drawback to this setup is you are extremely limited to matching tires you can get in those two sizes.

That said, you seemed interested in a PS4S summer performance tire and since they are not made in that size, you would have to go with the Michelin Latitude Sport 3 or Pirelli P Zero (PZ4). While the Latitude Sport 3's. handled great, they were a bit too noisy and harsh riding for my liking. The P Zero's would be the closest thing to the PS4S's but they will wear quickly. My favorite performance all season tire comes in this size which is the Pirelli P Zero All Season * BMW EV tire. These were specifically designed for the BMW i7. Their performance was one of the best I tested for an all season and they have a comfortable quiet ride. While I don't care about range, I did get the best efficiency with these tires. They last quite long but their drawback is they aren't cheap.

Thanks. I looked at 285s and the best one seems to be the Pirellis. I’m going to with that. Do you think the numbers I have above is safe as far as clearance?

Ali, your measurements are good and which Pirelli's? Summer or All seasons?
