They may be a bit more expensive and could have a slightly harsher ride , having stiff sidewalls , but having driven them for 20 years or so on BMWs (or whenever they first came out) they have improved tremendously and in all the years after my first go around I have only had one flat with them. First two years of ownership I had 2 or 3 flats and they couldnāt patch them up. Now they can.1. I wonder if they considered ride flat tires for the mach-e? 2. I see there are ride flats that look like they would fit these wheels. In fact, they are really the same price more or less as replacing the tires with the factory stock tires. I have never had them before, so if cost is not an issue, what are the downsides, if any to having run flats?
