All you can do is look at the release notes of the last update you got in the car on the software update screen. If it doesn’t say there is no easy way.

Check your FordPass app. It may or may not be accurate. Mine says that my last OTA was in early April. I know my car received an OTA in May but it doesn’t appear in the FP app. Note that an OTA is not indicative of the version of every module within the car, only of the modules that the last OTA updated. An OTA may update modules B, D and X without updating any other modules. The only way to tell where each module is is to do a snapshot of your VIN’s pending updates in FDRS. ??

I got nothing yet, after 4 days owning it off the lot. Its set to automatic updates and I set it to 1am. Car connected to my home's Wifi. Do I have to keep the car on overnight?

It might be weeks (or even months) before Ford gets around to pushing updates to your car. This Ford OTA thing is nothing like any other OTA update process I've ever experienced before. There seems to be no rhyme or reason to what cars are sent which OTAs and when.

You'd think Ford would notice a newly sold car being entered into the OTA "network" and try to get it up to date on firmware, but the opposite seems to be true. My first thought when I saw this was that Ford was making a support nightmare for themselves with this OTA insanity. Then I remembered that Ford doesn't actually support their cars - they make dealers do that. However, the dealers don't (and really can't) support OTAs, which results in customers lost and confused about module firmware.

I'm actually very surprised that some of the automobile magazines/websites haven't picked up on this and done an article on it.

The whole thing about having your car connected to Wifi seems to be somewhat of a myth. Other's on this forum have stated that the Mach E only receives downloads from Ford while you are driving the car, and in an area that receives good AT&T Wireless coverage. I did not believe this initially. But after owning my car for several months now, I can honestly say that every update my car has received, has been received while driving. The update does usually install overnight at the scheduled time. But as far as the actual download from Ford, it only seems to happen while driving. And no, you do not need to keep the car on overnight.
EDIT - prior to the MME, I had a 2020 Escape Hybrid, which actually did receive updates while connected to WiFi.

I wouldn’t worry too much about OTAs. If you have a 2024, you likely have all the latest code anyway.
Ford doesn’t send updates to every vehicle at the same time. Your VIN will come up in their system every few weeks, then you’ll get whatever pending updates you are eligible for. If you don’t drive your vehicle during your VIN’s window, you’ll have to wait for the next one.
Welcome to the Mach-E family!

Ive had overnight updates .... however 6.14 occurred while I was driving yesterday.
I do check my wifi connection to the car is configured correctly every couple weeks,

Why it didnt happen at the scheduled 2am 'check for updates' Ive set, I dunno, unless it downloaded, and didnt install till I was driving due to marginal 12V battery level while parked at night ???? just a wild guess
