I recently purchased a 2023 MME Select (yes brand new it was built in Nov 23 as a 2023 model) and the car did not come with a charger. WHen I asked, they pointed to the window sticker to the line "mobile power cord delete". WTF?

take the $500 you saved contact your local utility and see if they offer chargers (evse) for a discounted price.

They deleted $500 off the price. There are better chargers for cheaper anyway.

You know whats funny because of this, I negotiated a free tire rotation :)

I am an EV owner for 4 years so I already have the equipment installed in my garage.

Plenty of these Ford portable EVSEs have failed after months of use. There are dozens+ of threads on that here.

Not adjustable for amperage, a significant portion of provided ones have failed while in use, and it only charges up to 32 amps on 240V... not to mention its design locks the user into vendor lock into only the two provided plug whips (cannot use plug adapters for other receptacles). Like another member said two comments up, you can do better, and sometimes for cheaper, out on the open marketplace.

I got a fully certified (UL) in US and Canada 48A max adjustable, with full app control for $180 (its shown in the picture).

I bought a Tesla Mobile Connector to replace my Ford Mobile Charger. The FMC works, but I wanted a portable that can work on a 10-30R outlet. It just requires a Tesla to J1772 (L2) adapter (that I already had and have never used). ?‍♂?

Tesla stopped giving chargers out a couple years ago too. We still have ours though from our 2021 MY (traded for a BMW i4).

Yes but Tesla’s Mobile Connector is much more reasonably priced than the Ford Mobile Charger. Granted, the price of an adapter adds to its cost for a J1772 car. ?‍♂?

The only time I ever used mine was to plug my Son's Bolt into our vacation rental so yeah, it's kind of a don't care.
