I paid $600 for 3 years. But once that is up I think I could justify paying $800 per year for BC for my use case.

I do about 6,000 miles per year of BC driving (that's just my commute to/from work not including any additional roadtrips). So using just my commute it's $800 / 6,000 miles which is only about $0.133 per mile.

Granted that's not as good as my current deal of $200 / 6,000 miles at $0.033 per mile.

How did you get it for $600/3 years did you negotiate or was it an offer? I have searched all over and it just comes up with the $800/year.

Because Job 1 2021's did not come with BC installed at the factory we had to wait about a year to get BC installed via OTA. Ford gave us Job 1 2021 customers a one-time deal to subscribe at $200 for 3 years as compensation. After those 3 years are up we have to subscribe at the normal rate.

Considering you were stuck with BC 1.0, I would say you were overcharged.

He has a 2021.
Note that this doesn't seem to apply to Job 2 '21's. I have a job 2 (Blue Cruise worked from day 1 of ownership) and I've not been offered the $600/3 years. My initial 3-year trial is up at the end of November. I'm curious if there will be a pricing change, especially since the all the Job 2 '21's will hit the end of their trial period over the next 6 months (starting in about 3 weeks, I think). Nothing like real sales data (e.g., what is the uptake rate for Job 2 '21's on the $800/year price) to inform pricing.

My Job 1 2021 was paid at $600 for 3yrs recently, back when the new BC hype started. This will likely be the last for me as I plan to move on after 100-150kmiles

They got 1 year free, then 3 years at $600. You got 3 years for $600. That's all you get for $600.

No one is forced to pay the subscription fee. But if you want the functionality, you pay for it. Just like navigation. It's not blowing money; it's purchasing something you want. If the price is too high for you, don't purchase it.

Ooh ok. Thanks ? if I used bc a lot it would be worth it but I wfh and road lines in Indianapolis are so uneven and under construction it doesn’t read right, so it’s a complete waste of money for me.

I think the question should be is BC really 3x better than SuperCruise (75 vs 25 bucks a month)? I have less than a year left on the original 3 year subscription (bought the car used). Once it lapses I'll see if I can live without it. If I can't live without it and the price remains ridiculously high, I'll go to a SuperCruise vehicle most likely. Not a fan of Teslas currently, their products don't enter the conversation for me personally. There also might be some other similar options out by that time too.

Has anyone paid for BC on the monthly plan? $75/month vs. $800/year. I don't drive BC highways often enough to justify $800/yr for me, but I could maybe see paying $75 for a month if I were going on an extended road trip and knew I'd be on BC highways a lot.
