Is it normal to count how many times the signal flashes? No, not really.

No, but if it normally takes Blue Cruise 21 flashes to complete a lane change then someone will be up ones rear in most traffic conditions real fast. Tap to pass when doing it manually is 3 flashes. Big difference but he did explain why.

More on topic. Took it for a ride this morning, it was raining, took a minute to kick in but when it did it worked great. Stayed in the centre, moved to the left for larger vehicles, and the lane changes were very smooth. Wasn’t sure how the rain would impact it, was impressed!

Just got mine. ‘22 not in EA. Took about 30 minutes OTA. Only problem is I have to hold the steering wheel more now on the 101 in San Francisco than I did before, which is annoying.

You misunderstood. Ford creates a batch of cars to be updated and that list specifies the specific VINs to be updated. That's different than saying they choose the VINs to update from a sequential list


Just the Job1 2021's - when we placed our orders for the cars bluecruise was listed as an included feature (although under a different name at the time). By December 2020 they realized that BC 1.0 was not going to be ready, so they decided to offer $600 off the price of the car and made us sign paperwork that said we agreed to the discount and wouldn't sue for the missing feature. Since Ford had valued BC at $600 in all those cars they had to honor the price for the first purchase of the subscription or they would have had a class action suit on their hands.

Subsequently Ford decided BC is worth more than $200/yr but they couldn't welch on the deal with the 2021 Job 1 owners.

well maybe it's Ford's retribution now, since they won't give the 2021's the new BC 1.3!?!?

That's the opposite of what the update is supposed to do. It's supposed to have more hands off time.

Must be - I have 6.14 but not BC 1.3.

Happy with BC 1.2 that came on my '23 Job 1.

I use it a lot on long stretches of uncrowded freeways & highways.

I don't use it all in congested Los Angeles traffic...

Got it this morning but it failed for some reason now it’s pending a redo…

Looks like it failed for me as well (‘22 non-EA). What’s strange is that I got a failure notification in the app at like 6pm, well outside my overnight install window. Given that the “update now” button is greyed out, I guess the download itself failed, and I’ll just have to wait for them to push it again @rugedraw, may send you my VIN, see if you can tell me what happened…
