This new version is an upgrade even if you started with 1.3 for what it’s worth.

No clue when it will go out OTA for cars already with 1.3 though. But holds the center lane much better between my 2 trips with the different versions.
There's a BC update for those already on 1.3?

Yes because it’s actually BC1.4 but they decided not to call it that.

I counted 21 flashes of the signal light before the lane change was completed. Is that normal?
My mom might have started changing lanes at that point.

I'm also not on EA and just got it today. It was supposed to be installed tomorrow morning, but I went ahead and installed it right away so I could test it. Pretty awesome. The lane changing worked great. It also seemed to put me in the left part of the lane when alongside a semi. I haven't tested it to prompt me if I'm following someone going slower than what I have the cruise set for. Shot a short video of the lane change.l

does it disengage hands free if you make the lane change yourself with the blinker on?

In FDRS the current update that is going OTA to older cars is also available for cars that were sold with 1.3, I have tested it and it’s an improvement. Was it 1.4? No clue.

Interesting that you noticed that. I had tried it several times and it was quicker than that. The time that I decided to video, there was someone apparently too close behind me in the lane. Once I got a bit farther in front of them, it completed the change.

So peculiar that a 2022 gets it before 2023. Not sure how you run a business that way, but whatever!
Because 23's at least had 1.2 whereas the 22's had 1.0. So yes, it is a good way to run a business

Glad to see it’s finally coming out to the rest of us. I called Ford about a week ago to ask about this. I was told it’s based on your VIN. My car is at 2021 and I see yours is a 2022, so I guess the VIN orderwas just a bunch of BS.
You misunderstood. Ford creates a batch of cars to be updated and that list specifies the specific VINs to be updated. That's different than saying they choose the VINs to update from a sequential list

My memory is a little fuzzy, but IIRC '21 and '22 models were advertised with a $600/3 year renewal after their trial ends, and AFAIK Ford is honoring that deal. I probably should have been more specific.
Just the Job1 2021's - when we placed our orders for the cars bluecruise was listed as an included feature (although under a different name at the time). By December 2020 they realized that BC 1.0 was not going to be ready, so they decided to offer $600 off the price of the car and made us sign paperwork that said we agreed to the discount and wouldn't sue for the missing feature. Since Ford had valued BC at $600 in all those cars they had to honor the price for the first purchase of the subscription or they would have had a class action suit on their hands.

Subsequently Ford decided BC is worth more than $200/yr but they couldn't welch on the deal with the 2021 Job 1 owners.

Just got it tonight. And I had to install it now and then go for a test drive.
First thing I noticed ....
The beep while in reverse was louder.
The noise it generates below 18mph was louder.
Lane changing was interesting. I'll use it rarely but it is nice to have.
I really like that it will move you left or right in your lane depending what other traffic is around you.

And a question:
I had it set to go 6mph over the speed limit and to change speeds as the speed limit changed.
This looks like you can only set it for 5mph over the posted limit. And when I made the changes to set it to 5 over it did not behave as expected. I'll have to do more testing and learning.

I like it.
