I am one of you who suffers from locked out OTAs since August 2023 and have posted my attempts to get my OTAs “unstuck” all without success for me. Today I may have found the key.

In early April the dealer service for the 23B50 and 23S56 recalls was completed. My dealer stated that all modules in need would be reprogrammed.

In late April (still no OTAs) I contacted the Ford 833.389.0848 number which had me go thru what I believe was a reset of a modem previously.

Still no updates.

Today I contacted the 833 center and they accessed my car and confirmed that my settings were correct (duh). So my VIN has been assigned to a case number so that the dealership will update the appropriate modules. I am now waiting to heat from them to get the appointment.

From my communications with the Ford Center I believe they have now assigned a case to attach VINs to, that gives the dealership the instruction to fix our issue. That case # is CAS-49856762-D8R0GB (that a zero, not an O). I believe that culprit is the GWM (GateWay Module).

What say you @Mach-Lee? Thanks for all of your guidance.
I said this after I got my car back last week. I was under warranty. I took it into the dealer for them to do updates. They did not do any updates, but they did replace the RFA module on mine, they said it was failing on diagnostics on that. So they replaced it and gave me the vehicle back, one thing they did say is, I may see some intermittent issues with my phone in the car. I can say within the last three days. I’ve gotten two updates where I was not getting anything since February. Under warranty I definitely take it in.

Same here. The above number for OTA could see yesterday's case and repeated that i should go to the dealer ("if not happy with that dealer try another one"!). So I called the dealer again, their response was your car is not showing "actuated" to receive OTA updates, the EV technician responded that he has no idea what the code given to me by Ford means so bring in the car again, and oh appointments are for September but CDK was hacked and our systems are down so we are not currently booking appointments. So I wasted three hours, faced with Ford satisfaction surveys several times now and I'm starting to press 1 at "I would trust Ford"...

CDK was hacked and is affecting 15k dealers across the US including the store I work for. It is beyond a PITA to do anything sales, service or parts related.

Did you do anything special to finally get an update?

Was your previous last update Aug 2023 and the one that supposedly “fixed” radio presets getting reset?

While not being the original poster to the "finally received an update." Mine was the same. No update since the radio one last August and I also received the 4.2.6 last night. Hopefully more to follow.

Really supports that the software pause was not, and is not, a hardware in car issue, but a Ford not pushing updates to some cars issue.

I went to the dealer for that recall, so I don't expect to receive this, but it's definitely a hopeful move.

Curious if either of you had the dealer force any updates when you had the recall did.

My dealer did “all available updates” during the recall, but that was the first week in January.

Since then my update screen just says “not completed” for the old Aug 2023 preset update and update now button greyed out.

This definitely gives me hope again though!

I know I am lazy but still have not done the recall. The car has not been to a dealer in the almost 3 years I have owned it. Have a minor laundry list of items to take care off besides the HVBJB and a couple CSPs (the update having addressed a couple others) before the warranty is done but nothing important enough to make the trip and be without a vehicle (had a Lightning that ended up at dealer for 5 weeks for a 1-day repair). Was hoping the dealer at the recall repair would try a few updates to get the ball rolling again but based on this Forum had lost hope that would fix anything.

Since the car had not been touched definitely seems like a Ford database issue. Hoping that this was not a "one time" update.
