This is new! Range disappears

I think today I was coming to a stop at a light and the range indicator disappeared and something else was in the dash it was like a circle and before I really saw what it was it went back to the normal range distance. I don't recall ever seeing this before. Does anyone know what it was?

Brake coach? Did it have a percentage number in it [% Recovered]?

I’d bet you’re driving in Engage mode. That would be the brake coach as @Glenn C suggested. It’s there to tell you how efficient your braking is from an energy recovered point of view. If you’re using 1 pedal drive (1pd) the number will always be 100% or extremely close to that.

Ha that's what it is. I saw it again and it said something like "100% recovery" I have always driven the car in whisper mode and never seen that come up before.

First time I saw it was a week or two ago. I thought at first it was a CarPlay thing and was so mystified that I had to snap a pic. It’s definitely elusive! I disabled it in the menu and it’s been gone since.

Haha it’s a sneaky little sucker. It took me a few tries.

My RS has something similar where they try to gameify fuel economy, which I find hilarious in an AWD 350hp sports car. To be fair it's probably just inherited from the base Focus.

I turned this and the reverse brake assist off almost immediately. I'm curious if anyone finds them useful beyond the first few weeks of ownership.

three+ years of mach e ownership and I'd never seen this as I've always had it set to unbridaled. Apparently last week one of the OTAs changed my drive mode "engage" so when I came to a stop I got the brake coach stuff.

Yeah I think some ota update made some change to see it cause I have also had brake coach on since I got the car and I have never seen it before.
