I have. 2021 Job 1 Premium ER AWD in infinite blue. I noticed that the paint on the body beneath the door sill on the drivers side (visible when you open the door) appears to be wearing away! So far, there’s a bare metal patch about 3.5”-4” long and about 1.5”-2” wide). Any recommendations? Way too big for touch up paint (besides, I’m terrible with that stuff).

What would be rubbing there? Do you brush that when you get in or out? Or possibly your seat belt or something?

Touch up paint and some PPF over the area. You can get cheap PPF off Amazon. Once's you slobber the paint on (putting it on thick it'll level it's self fairly well, then PPF over it for the future. Allow the touch up paint to dry for about 48 hours before you put the PPF over it.

I noticed I can hit mine with Birkenstocks. When i get in I cross my right leg out the door as I plant my butt. When I swing/pivot on the seat I usually drag my right foot over the door sill. This post reminds me I should probably grab some cheap clear and do those areas. This paint is thin and pretty weak on edges.

Based on my experience touch up paints from Ford were very hard to work with. There are two separated parts. First is the paint that does not match the original paint. Second is a metallic clear coat that would dissolve the original paint around the worn spot. I ordered touch up paint set from eBay but I have not tried them.

I put this on my MME door sill. It was hard to install.

I do not know - that’s the puzzling thing. I thought perhaps my legs when I get in and out; and it’s too far back. Can’t be the seatbelt, it is in the wrong area (and I’m a bit weird about taking off my seatbelt and retracting it before I open the driver’s side door).

I'd say whatever it is, is hard as it's worn through the primer as well and isn't a smooth rubbing, that's sharp abrasive, like a buckle.
I went out and took a look. I have a couple of the same scratches from the top of my shoes when getting in, and when getting out. I don't usually wear boots but if I did they'd hit as well. Getting in or out I don't think of it at all but I hit that area each time.

I wear sneakers or sandals (tevas). And it’s pretty far back for on the door sill from my feet to hit it.

I can't find anything other than buckles or lace eyelets that could get there. Even playing with my seatbelt that was a really hard spot to hit.
I took pictures but no one wants to see my feet lol

Well, I’m going to have to figure out how to fix it/get it fixed. Me attempting any type of painting would be a disaster ?

Touch-up Direct offers spray cans of touch-up paint. I would prime the bare metal area and spray touch-up paint over it, buff it out, and PPF the area. ?‍♂?

If you love the car, and plan to keep her, I would have a big/good Ford dealer do the paint work. Then, I would get the PPF from Amazon (as mentioned by azerik). Weathertech sells some Mach-E PPF, which I bought. It does not fit well at all, and may have been pre-cut for the gas Mustang.

Wasn't there a paint recall around the doors a couple months back?

Yes, it was a CSP 24N05, I do not know if it applies here, OP should check it out......it talks about "paint sealant issues near the hem joints on the inside surfaces of the side doors".......I did get this CSP in "letter"/notice from Ford May 2024.......again I don't know if it applies in this case, and I don't know if it applies if you did not get the Ford notice in the mail.......I have a '23 Premium....

The CSP was for bubbling paint that the metal underneath wasn’t properly prepped for. So that won’t apply.
@Jimrpa I’d take a good look at the rubber seal along the edge of the door where it would make contact there. Could be some sand or dirt got pressed into the rubber and is acting like sand paper as you drive.
I am going to second @HuntingPudel and recommend touchupdirect or, I like automotivetouchup.com even better. Either will mix and sell spray cans of exact match paint that is higher quality that Duplicolor. They also sell cans of really good clearcoat, and primer since you have bare metal. I’ve been buying from automotivetouchup to match my green wrap and paint some of the interior plastics. Their paint is easy to work with.
