I have a 2022 Mach E RWD extended and it's time for my 30k service. I called two dealers in the area and it sounds like Ford is telling them to charge $200-250 for a Tire rotation, cabin air filter (I replaced myself already), fluid top-off and general inspection (including battery).

Given I spent $25 for the 10k and 20k service this is ridiculous! Am I the only one that the dealers are now trying to gouge here? 10x the price for essentially the same service? The one dealer said Ford just released the updated codes for EV service and what to charge.

Also, I asked what if I just did a Tire rotation and they said $50 (what the heck!!!)

What are you guys paying? Any tips?

Ford doesn't tell the dealers how much to charge, that's up to the dealer itself. They are setting the price themselves.

I would expect a 10k service to cost about $100.

You can just get the tires rotated for $50, not much else needs to be done on an EV.

In my service history:

$25.82 - brakes and tires - 30k in June.
$49.35 for 20k
$25.59 for 10k
What kind of brake service are you getting for $26? Is that just an inspecting or do you know if they actually did anything?

I am at 36k, I had my 10k, and 20k done and for under $25. I also replaced my own cabin air filter. My 30k timed with getting new tires (Ford had the best price) and they didnt charge me anything beyond the tires. Sounds like a dealer issue?

I can go to my local Discount Tire and get the tires rotated for free. I can change the cabin air filter myself. I top off my own washer fluid. Unless my brakes are squealing or grabbing, I don't worry about them. And I don't trust any of my local dealers to mess with the battery unless it is broken or reporting problems. So I would not pay what that dealer is asking!

I just did my 20k service. I told them I'd done the cabin filter myself. They (local Ford dealer) charged me $30 for the rotation and inspection.

I do all my own 10k inspections, filters, tire rotation.

I do wish there was a way I could mark it 'done', so that CarFax knows.

I use dealership Service for Recalls, warranty and CSP work

I'm proud to have never visited the dealer since starting my lease a year ago.

Rotated my tires in my driveway at 10k, not a lot else you need to do with EVs.

I do have the PCM service campaign (24B42) listed as outstanding, but I took care of it with FDRS and discovered it never goes away unless a dealer manually marks it complete.

Yup my 10K was also sub $30 and I expect my 20K soon to be around that number too.

My rear passenger rotor is messed up(scored badly due to past rust and brake pad sticking) but it’s a non issue since rear brakes are rarely used. Will get that resolved at the 30K mark.

This is what I do, and my dealer has charged me similarly for the 10k, 20, and 30k. I think the next one might require me to pay actual $, but so far, I have covered everything with the points I got for the initial purchase.
