I know, I’m referring to the performance upgrade package, which is a requirement now for any tests and comparisons, as it’s not only a new, software-based way to get the fastest Mustang, it’s the ONLY way to get the fastest Mustang. Before you had to outright be buying a distinct, most expensive trim to get the fastest ‘Stang available. Which imho was a much easier, more sure way for most people to understand and grasp in terms of coming home with nothing but the best. I can understand software upgrades, most other people can’t. All they know are the annoying Windows updates that constantly nag them, and the once a year iPhone software they get automatically not by upgrading what they already have, but by buying the latest iPhone that already has it.Other than “not put it in unbridled extend” there isn’t much more they have to do.
The car will run a 1/4 mile just as fast in whisper.
Turning off traction control and the a/c might help slightly, but likely is negligible.
if this guy doesn’t even know the most basic thing about the Mustang Mach E (flipping the CORRECT switch - literally ONE switch to put it in its fastest mode), I don’t have high hopes of them figuring out and making sure that the GT they have arrived at the scene already equipped with the software-based Performance Upgrade properly installed, activated and ready to go before the test - a software upgrade that is actually REQUIRED to properly experience and test what the car can do at full power.
edit: clarification.
