My Mustang Mach-E GT PE has the Pirelli summer tires on it with 12,000 miles now. I live in Maryland and want to replace them with all season tires. Would really appreciate suggestions. I read online articles and it just confuses me more… Thanks in advance!

I love my continental pro contact RX that came on my 24 Mach E GT with the performance upgrade. They have great ratings and were right on par with the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S summer tire and ahead of the Michelin Pilot sport all seasons on the tire rack comparison with the EV tire test they did!

When I ran out of tread on my summer UHPs, i got 20x9.5” custom made wheels and Continental DWS 06+ tires in 275/40R20. I didn’t want to give up any performance in switching from Summers to All-Seasons. I think that traction is a bit better. ??

Thank you all for the comments! I had a set of Continentals on my F-150 and loved them. I will look into both the Pro Contacts and DWS06+ you recommended. The Pirelli P zero PZ4 Elect tires that come with the Mace GT PE have a tread life of 50,000 miles but I am not sure they will last that long. Do you all expect to get 50,000 out of your Continentals?

Oh, no. The Pirelli PZero Summer UHP tires that come stock on the GT-PE will not last beyond 26K miles even if you never take a corner. @scoopman barely got 4K miles out of his. I got 16.5K out of mine because of life reasons (otherwise I likely would have gotten less than 4K). The all-season tires on the regular GT will last a lot longer. ??

Damn, I’ve never seen tires so lousy before if that’s true. 20k miles for life expectancy is abysmal. I’m at 12,000 miles now and they seem ok. I guess I will be getting some Continentals that were recommended sooner than I thought haha.

Any Summer UHP tire is going to have lousy tread life. Back when we were using “cheater” tires in SSGT those ”S” compound tires (BFG called theirs “-R” to be different) lasted on a street car like today’s Summer UHP tires. Incidentally, the old ”S” tires and today’s Summer tires have no treadwear warranty because they’re intended to be used hard and wear out fast. These are not normal passenger car tires. They are Ultra High-Performance tires. They are loud, have harsh rides, and get bad fuel mileage. ??

50,000 mile limited treadwear warranty. The ELECT™ marking on the sidewall identifies Pirelli tires, specifically developed for high performance electric and plug-in vehicles, in line with the Perfect Fit strategy.

All season tire, but worth considering for performance and duration over the summer

Just wanted to make sure that you were aware that the GT-PE P Zero tire is a completely different tire than the All-Season P Zero. You get better tire life with the all-season tire at the expense of performance. ??

Yeah! Do you think those Continentals that were recommended in this thread would lack the performance from the P Zero summer tires?

Neither of the all-season Continental models will have the performance of the Pirelli P Zero Summer tire. Several people have gone with the DWS 06+ in a 255 width (10mm wider than stock). I went with 275/40R20 for my DWS 06+ tires. That size requires wider wheels (minimum of 9”, I went with 9.5” which as of now is a custom width). I think I’ve gotten all of the performance back, and maybe a little more. The aerodynamics of the wheels hurt my efficiency but I really don’t care about that. ??
