Got my adapter BUT----

I received my adapter. Went to try it out at a TESLA charger. Did everything right but charge port light flashed red and no charging occurred. Called 800 number, they had me disable my account and then re-enable that didn't work --"take it to the dealer" . Took car to dealer, Nielsen Ford Morristown NJ, day and half later car is ready. Service rep said it was a software issue. Screen view in charge assist looked different. It showed which stalls were available and the cost per kwh. Tried it out and it WORKED. I guess I didn't get the correct OTA or something. Hope this helps someone out there who encounters same issue.

On the same topic of the adapter, recd mine went to Tesla charger charged up the cost was 55 cents a kWh a tad bit more then I pay at home which is like 12 cents but wanted to make sure it worked. Unplugged got power train fault warning within 2 minutes of unplugging. Shut off the the car restarted and the warning disappeared, no issues since.
It took approx 7 months to get this adapter.
The rate at Tesla charger for me was about 100 kw. I think the ford does up to 150kw.
I was at a 350kw charger.

So at this time I am afraid to use a Tesla charger given the warning light that popped up. it seems like an incredible coincidence that the warning light came on right after charging. As a side note the Tesla charge cords are short you have to get within 6 inches or so for the cord to plug in.

You were at a 250kW Tesla charger. Make sure you disconnect by pushing the button next to your charging port, waiting a few seconds, then unplug.

Your charging rate will be about 125 for sessions between 20 and 60% or so, once it settles down. Then it slows below 100, then at 80% to around 34kW.

I got carried away on the kws, yes it was 250kw. Thank you for the tip.

I bought my 2021 Mach-e on March 9, 2024 and to this day, have been UNable to charge at a Tesla Supercharger. After many phone calls and dealer visits, last week Ford Motor Co. told me the software has yet to be downloaded! My next appt is Thursday, Sept 26. If that doesn't work, don't be surprised if I will be a proud owner of something else (a hybrid) by Thanksgiving.

Charging at a Supercharger requires:

1. The Supercharger needs to be updated and available, not all are. None of the Version 2 will be available.
2. The Station needs to be updated and have a magic dock equipped unit, or
3. The station needs to be updated and listed as available on their website or app and you have to have an NACS adapter.

What’s not required is the plug and charge update. If you are at a magic dock unit or have an adapter and are at an available station you can simply activate the unit through the FordPass app or Tesla app.

With how Teslas network is you could either have access to none of it or most of it.

I prefer we have access to most of it.

the quill/ink well was replaced by the fountain pen/graphite pencil
the fountain pen replaced by the ball point
the wooded graphite replaced by the ever-sharp
the replacement technology worked
