I had an S550, 460hp, perf pkg (torsen diff) before the MME.

I've always felt my awd would take the s550 off the line in comparison, but the 550 would eat the distance quick and pass me in no time.

You just dont get the same feedback with a quiet drivetrain.

You totally killed the poor 550. If I was him, I'd go home and sell it, then get an MME out of embarrassment.

Oh wait .... lol
isn't the mache speed restricted to 125?

124.

But the race is over well before then.

The 2024 Mach E GT also traps 114 mph in the 1/4.

The ICE Mustang GT also traps 114…… but takes almost a second longer to get there.

Bottom line? Unless it’s a half mile race, the Mach E is gonna win.

I'm way older than you. I remember "the row" in the students parking lot at Klein High School at the turn of the decade (1970) and then through 1974. That was stud row with the rich dad muscle cars.
(I didn't have one, but was allowed to park and be cool because I road a Honda CB750-K2)

I like to imagine going back in time with my F150 Powerboost. But it would be even more science fiction to show up with a Mach-E. Most human beings alive at that time couldn't possibly have access to even experience the G-forces we do every single day just fetching a gallon of milk. Especially our braking!

Anyways, thanks for the thread. Sorry for the hijack. :)

Till I die? ?

Blue & Gold

Man that was a long time ago.
There were still mostly cow fields on both sides of FM 1960. 2 lanes. Blacktop. And we recognized who drove by on Friday nights.
I live in Klein/Spring at have for the past 35 years.

That falcon was gettin it!

For ME, I never really related to something like that Falcon, other than as the spectator. Only imagining.
Many/most of the cars at the drag strip were making sounds and giving off energy that was beyond anything I personally had ever owned with 4 wheels.

But now?

That one video you posted riding along side a real drag race car, yet belonging there in a Mach-E GT......

I can now relate.
Man is it a lot less work and effort to just get a Mach-E GT. ???
You don't even need a trailer and a tow vehicle.

And unlike the Falcon, you can go fetch supper in it on public roads and do a little 8th or 16th without anyone calling the fuzz. ?

That's not a Falcon. It looked like a Plymouth Valiant maybe.

Thanks for commenting!

It literally blew my mind that I could even come close to this. There were a couple of those full on drag racing cars with roll cages and shut-off switches that I was right there with, including that last video against that black top classic car. He had a roll cage with full weight reduction. I didn't expect to be so close lol.

I have been drag racing since I was in my late teens and I never thought I would have a stock vehicle that could run it like this Mach-E GT. It is truly a beast for what it is.

Thanks for watching!
